Maybe another parking deck in front of Nordstrom. I would like it to be a hybrid of the current mall and SouthPark.
If Sears left Haywood, I would be very sad. It's the only store I actually shop at in the mall. No more clothing stores are necessary, IMO.

While it might be nice to have such stores here, those are almost all luxury brands, and that's just not the "thing" in these economic times. Besides, there's little you can't get in Greenville (or at Haywood Mall for that matter) that you would reasonably be expected to want or need. I mean, there are already quite a number of high-end brands represented either in their own stores or at Belk & Macy's.

I think Durham has those stores. And Haywood is similar and in a similar market.

shamrocker* You can go to it if it opens at Magnolia. Besides you dont shop at Haywood. Its a bad sign if Sears is empty on a Saturday...at 7 PM...on tax free weekend.

that all sounds extremely overpriced for the greenville market, I rarely go to the mall now, but I know I wouldn't if all those stores were there, I couldn't afford anything!!

I agree. This is too small a market to carry so many high end retailers.

And the thing to stress here, is that just because we don't have certain retailers doesn't mean that type of thing isn't available here. As an example, there's no St. John Knits store in G'ville, but Belk at Haywood has a sizeable St. John shop. And there are plenty of locally-owned stores around the city that carry recognized high-end brands of clothing, household goods, shoes, food/drink, etc.

Well, that makes a bit more sense. The area's growth should slow much, and well could accelerate in the next few years.
