Default Non-vax friendly family practice in Simpsonville?

Hi all.

Does anyone know of a pediatrician or famiy practice that is accepting of families who choose not to vaccinate according to the CDC recommendations?

I've been asking around and a few of the moms I know raved about a practice in Simpsonville. However, according to their website my children would not be welcome patients there so I'm still searching. (By the way, I'm not slamming their policies. Good for them for having convictions and operating accordingly. My convictions lead me in a slightly different direction, so it's just not a good fit.)

I did hear of one practice in Greer called Cornerstone, but that's about a 35-minute drive and I'm hoping to find someone closer. Thanks!

Sometimes if you speak to the physicians themselves they will be more flexible than the official policy of the practice. The office managers etc will give you a hard time more than the physicians, in my experience. Depending on how drastically you want to veer from the CDC course.

Here is a link to an old thread on similar matter:

Also to note: we use Dr. Nelson of Carolina Pediatrics (GHS) and she is very compassionate; never pushes vaxes. We opt out of many but also get some. We use our own schedule.

Cornerstone is the one vax friendly doc listed on askdrsears.com website. We're looking in Sville too. Let me know if you find someone. In the meantime, you may want to call Cornerstone and see if they can recommend someone closer to you. That's what I plan to do next week.
