Gyms
We just moved to the Five Forks area and are looking for a gym. I was wondering if anyone could recommend one that they like and the gym fees. I was going to check out the Sports Club of Five Forks anyone belong to that gym? Any comments good or bad on that club would be helpful it does look expensive.
Thanks!

I haven't been to Sports Club, but if "bare bones" would fit your needs, I recommend Fitness 19, at the intersection of Woodruff and Hwy 14. It's inexpensive, a modest joining fee, and $27/mo for 2 of us. The equipment is well maintained and it's usually busy, but not terribly crowded after work.

I have been to a different Sports Club and was very impressed. Great facilities, great locker rooms, everything is extremely clean and nice. It's probably as high-end as you can get in terms of gyms.

The Five Forks SportsClub is very nice and new. They also have an indoor pool, lots of good classes and high end equipment. Of course you pay for all that stuff, but your company may subsidize your monthly fee. In January, they usually waive the enrollment fee.
My wife and I switched over to the Greenville Hospital Systems "LifeCenter". There is one in Simpsonville on Corporate Drive between Main St and I-385. It's much smaller than SportsClub, but the price is much better.

Sportsclub
We belong to Sportsclub at FF. It is awesome. I HATE exercise but I truly enjoy going there. It is aesthetically pleasing, state of the art, the people are helpful and nice, and they have nice childcare when we need it. Every cardio machine (and there are so many) has its own tv. It is normally expensive, I'm guessing around 100/month, but we have membership through my husband's company which makes it much less than that.
Go to their website to see what they offer: sportsclubsc.com

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the advice on the gyms I loved the Sportsclub but $129.00 a month is a bit more than we really wanted to pay. Unfortunately BMW is the only big company they don't offer discounts for so I'll keep looking.
