I should trust my memory occasionally. That is the store I thought it was in (having shopped there a few times recently), but Carolina Knight's post made me think again. First hand knowledge always trumps information read somewhere online. Thank you for the reminder, NoodlesKnowles.

Walgreens has already come and Walmart is going on the site that was rumored for Target at one time.

I'd love to still see Target come to the area among other things. Target seems underspread in the upstate and northern Georgia and despite competing almost directly with Walmart offers you something almost on a different level and seems just as sustainable.

True - plus, it seems a Target would be more appropriate for that area than a Walmart.

Speaking of Wal-mart....I went to Laurens, SC and the Wal-mart there was HUGE. Reported 204,000 square feet!
It says the Wal-mart in Powdersville will be 150,000 square feet...Pretty big still!
It says Easley's store is 187,000 sq. feet. They makin' em BIG!...

Could be. They all carry the same crap. The one in Easley has a lot of wasted space and a tiny customer service which makes no sense. Its the poorest designed one I have seen. Maybe they have their sights set on carrying new product lines in the future like kitchen appliances. I know Wal Mart is buiding a store in downtown Knoxville that will not be allowed to carry groceries contractually because Publix will be in the same complex (similar to McBee Station) so Wal Mart is building stores of all sizes currently.

It's true about the shelf facings. They have smaller inventory, with lots of shelves to fill.
And true about the Customer Service area, very tight...
