It doesn't look like it sadly. One is a steak place and another is Showmars. Ok, so we can lower the number of vacanies down from eight to six then two after that due to new high-end tenants and possibly one after that if Apple is taking two retail spots. So, that's three vacanies. See what happens when I create a negative thread?

All of this bad news?!?

Personally, I think that the stores that have closed do not have a huge following here. The mall can get crowded and we could support much higher "class" (for lack of a better word) stores, Sephora, Apple etc. Borders was a joke, they sell more books at Walmart!

Awesome. Glad I read this post. I haven't been in the food court area of the mall in a while and didn't know there is a Showmars now. They are a neat option for fast food from Charlotte--I made it a point to eat at one on my last trip up there. Glad to see they are expanding. Now I have a reason to eat at the Haywood Mall food court on my next visit to the mall!

I'll have to try that too. I guess I need to start going to the mall on an empty stomach. Usually my food/drink consumption at Haywood involves getting some hot tea creation from Tea Junction. That place is worth the trip itself!

If you say Forever 21 my wife will scream so loud you'll be able to hear her. She's always complaining that Haywood doesn't have F21 and she has to go there when we go to Charlotte or Raleigh. Please say yes, my house might be a "nag free" zone for a day or two.

Apple will apparently be taking both the Hair plus and Childrens Place spaces. Also, Francesca's Collections will be opening a store soon in the mall according to job listings posted.

Who? I'd rather see Anthropologie or BCBG myself. Maybe we'll get all three and then your wife could live there and never nag you again.
