Two quotes I really like from the above news article:
Cannon said the board feels the demographic in Greenville has changed since then with a new influx of business and industry bringing people to the Upstate who grew up playing hockey and would make it an “attractive sport” for Greenville.
“We’d look at what the Greenville Drive has done with baseball and we feel like using the same business model, making it affordable family entertainment can work for hockey,” he said.
Just, read this post. ECHL is a good league, offering hockeye at a reasonable price. I was a season ticket holder of the Columbus Chill. I hope that you get a team.
I enjoyed the Grrrowl games and all, but how will this work again the second time around? Just wondering. At least the Drive wasn't the G'ville Braves, and were a different product. This sounds like the Grrrowl rehashed.

I prefer to think of it as the Greenville Drive, only in hockey instead of baseball. I think what the story said about demographics is true - there are lots of folks here from the Northeast, especially. I believe if they're serious about marketing and branding in the mold of the Drive, it can be a great success!
