ITA with you on this, Eastside is great, so is Blue Ridge.

jl mann has been in decline recently academically. many will tell you southside is the "Ghetto school" of the district but talk to any greenville county sheriffs deputy and they will tell you to stay away from Mauldin. Riverside is your best option of the 3. solid community.

I have no idea where you are getting your information from, greenvillebuckeye, because I've seen multiple students go through Mauldin, and it is a spectacular school! Awesome administrators, great teachers, and overall great atmosphere at all the school events and in the school itself. I can promise you that there aren't any problems with "gang affiliations" or anything of that sort... no more so than at any other school in Greenville County. If you are looking for great area for schools, the Mauldin Elementary, Mauldin Middle and Mauldin High zone is great for kids and teens! So much to do with school events, and all of them are great choices.

I agree with furman94 my son goes to Mauldin and we have never seen any problems and the teachers and administration are very good. Mauldin is rated a 10 on great schools and I have to agree it's the best high school with fantastic kids.

Since Mauldin is in Mauldin and covered by Mauldin PD I'm not sure why the Sheriff has anything to do with this. When in doubt, and who wouldn't be with all the different info here, call the Mauldin PD at 864-297-5200.

I have heard Blue Ridge is an excellent school but it was not in the area we wanted to move to.

Any school will have some problems and some more than others. Test scores are the best indication of a school's performance.
