To those on the Eastside of Greenville, the Starbucks on Wade Hampton in front of Publix is now open. Be careful, the Drive Thru doesn't allow for much passage so you could get stuck if you are planning on just passing through to the other side of parking area! Passage is quite narrow at the turn around the building.

Swamp Rabbit Grocery has a new pizza stand baking in a wood-fired oven. They're planning to be open Thursday to Sunday but I am not sure if they'll have regular hours until staffing can be stabilized. It was pretty nice to sit outside on Saturday and enjoy fresh-baked pizza and a Birds Fly South beer. Pizzas were $12-15, beer $5. They certainly seemed to be making the most of the warm weather this weekend!

Pizza and Then Some has opened up in space next to the Spinx gas station at the corner of Pelham and Haywood road. Pebble Creek and another pizza place used to be in this spot.

I tried Grateful Brew this morning. It's that new beer/coffee house across from Greenville Tech..

I doubt it will replace your Starbucks, but it has a certain charm to it. I really want to go back and try some of the beers.

Ate at a great little place in Mauldin. Friends who live close said they never noticed it before, so not sure how "new" it is. We were looking for some place "new" to go with them and my BF found this place had great reviews on line. It's called the Low Country Shrimper.

Asked the guy at the counter what he thought was really good. Said the salmon patties were the best. Ummmm.....I don't like salmon patties, though I like fresh salmon. Must be the canned salmon I don't like, which is what I invisioned. He said they use fresh salmon and flake it themselves. He finally convinced me...got the salmon po boy - OMG, it was frickin amazing! They make them in to balls that look like falafels, make their own seasoning and some kind of white-ish sauce. No fish taste whatsoever. My friend got salmon cakes which she got served on top of grits. BF and friends husband got platters, both enjoyed what they got. Sides are typical - tried the baked beans since it was one of the things they said they make in house - they were beans. Friends husband LOVEDDDDD the (sweet) hush puppies, but said fried okra had way too much breading on it.

It's not something fancy at all, not too big of a place, and you order at the counter. Service was great too.

Low Country Shrimper has been there for a little over a year, I think. I've only been there once so far (got fried perch, fries, and slaw), and I really enjoyed it too. I'm looking forward to going again, although I haven't successfully convinced my wife to give it a shot. One day...!

Looks like Kirkland's Home Décor is relocating to Magnolia Park.

It was Domino's years ago, before they moved to the N Pleasantburg location. Not sure if there was something in there in between Domino's and Pebble Creek.

i want to say it was River Rock Pizza after it was Pebble Creek Pizza, although that seems like an odd name for a pizza place.
