speaking as a Wisconsinite who's had (lets just say) his share of Culvers over the years back home, dont forget to add their custard is awesome.
I'll be getting my Culver's fill with a couple Wi trips coming up, but we may sneak over the Greenville beforehand for a nice little treat....
im just glad they finally hit SC!
Darn, I was just down Woodruff yesterday and didn't know they were open. I'm fond of frozen custard, summers spent in Rochester had me at Abbotts, or Don and Bob's. Since looking for a home, and finally buying one up here was happy to find CinToms up in the Asheville area (not far from Biltmore, really) with wonderful frozen custard. I'll stop at CinToms anytime I'm up that way (winter hours stink) but it's great to have a place closer to home, and probably with more hours open to get my fill. Looking forward to trying their custard!!!
Culver's must be doing something right. The parking lot has been full - and I mean really FULL, with cars waiting in the drive-through line as well - since day one. I'll have to try it someday.
Stopped by there today. Nice clean restaurant, good burgers like I remembered. Good menu selection. Glad they are here. Still doing a good business.
hope to check this one out soon, we will be curious to see if they'll be able to get the same fish specials like back home in WI at certain times of the year (especially the walleye) considering it's the only one in the state/area. I always thought a Culvers would be a good idea here in SC, I wish them well.
Speaking of poutine - Southern Culture Kitchen and Bar on N. Pleasantburg (in the old Brioso location) has poutine on their menu. I haven't had it since my last trip to Canada, but I'm looking forward to trying it there.

Ironically, poutine is anything but representative of "Southern Culture." I can understand why Southerners would learn to love it though, considering how many restaurants in the South already sell "chili cheese fries." I learned to enjoy poutine while visiting family in Quebec several years ago. It is popular in western Canada as well.
