Now the question would be, where exactly would DK be going in if it does happen?
I saw this too; so what's going into Arby's? Chik Fil A? We know they want to come to Mauldin but a non-corner lot?

They just converted an Arby's in LaPlata, MD to a Roy Rogers restaurant, and so far it has been doing a big business and is a big hit. Wish they would do the same thing here. Their roast beef sandwich is truly much better than Arby's, and they have very good burgers and fried chicken as well. But I guess they would have to find a local franchisee.

Default Culver's crowded

Speaking of big business, the new Culver's continues to draw huge crowds. I went by there at 1:30pm Friday and could not find a parking spot. So I returned an hour later and it was still crowded. But the burgers are very good, and the custard and cheese curds are quite tasty. And they do have healthier options such as salads and grilled chicken sandwiches if you prefer. Good quality food and a nice clean restaurant. I am glad they are here, and hopefully more new concepts such as Roy Rogers, Popeyes, or Panda Express will consider entering the market as well. And a Whataburger or In n Out would be nice also.

I wonder when Cookout will land on the Eastside, Mauldin or Simpsonville? They are converting the old Checkers on Laurens Rd and it looks like there is one going up on White Horse near the Ingles (at least the building is looking like the one on Laurens) but I can't confirm yet its a Cookout.

Is there any activity occuring in the former China Pearl across from Ingle's on White Horse Road? I would think that location would be smaller for a Cook Out. The former Jack in the Box and Sonic down the road across from Walmart would be more suitable locations.

No activity at China Pearl. This is new construction next to the Express Gas Station just down from Bruesters. Its is looking like a fast food type place with a drive thru but not sure what it will be. There is a second concrete pad next to it so I am not sure what its for unless it will be an outdoor dining area.

The former Jack in the Box on White Horse has been filled by Verizon.

Nashvillle-based The Local Taco is planning to open soon after Thanksgiving at 15 Conestee Avenue, near Augusta Street and Lewis Plaza.

Not that it's a biggie, but the Spinx on Wade Hampton and Buncombe Rd opened. Let the gas price wars (between them and QT) begin (please)

Are prices the same for cash, debit and credit per grade of gasoline, or there separate prices in place for cash/debit and credit?
