I have read such wonderful things about the Greenville area. Is their anyone who has moved to Greenville, or the suburbs, from out of state and come to regret that decision? If so, why?
Do I regret it? What do you think? We've got crime running rampent, christians in our ears all the time, air quality is terrible.......what else? I'm sure there are a few I'm forgetting. Ohhh, sex offenders.
Really, we're all trying to get out! Save yourself.
Just kidding, my dad's side door on his house is open pretty much all the time, including when nobody's there. (Now i gotta make sure not to let his address slip anywhere)
I'm trying to figure out how my question prompted so much sarcasm, or maybe that's your attempt at humor, Tony 123 and RestedTraveler. My question is very sincere. I asked the question because so many of us are trying to find that perfect place and I don't think such a place exists. You can only tell so much about a place when you're researching it on line, and on line Greenville seems too good to be true...
I'm looking forward to my first trip out there hopefully by the end of the year and I do appreciate the honest feedback of other posters.
The city has done a fantastic job with the downtown area...talk about charming! I love the look, but more than that I like how much there is to do. Between the shopping, restaurants, cultural events, annual festivals and entertainment, there really seems to be something for everyone. I love the fact that you are surrounded by beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes. You have access to almost any outdoor activity imaginable within minutes of the city. It's the best of both worlds. You can experience four seasons, without the misery of long harsh winters. And it's affordable! The cost of housing, in particular, is incredible when you compare it to the rest of the country.
