Reason #5,873 why I go shopping on Woodruff Road on a weekday instead of the weekend. I'm sorry if this offends anybody but if you're still dumb enough to go on that road on the weekend, you deserve to sit in a traffic jam in my opinion.

Traffic is traffic....every city has it.....it isn't great when you are sitting in it, but Greenville traffic is mild compared to so many cities.

Oh, I agree. I find it funny people even complain about the traffic on Woodruff Road. I've been to Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco, and many other larger cities. Traffic on Woodruff Road even on the weekend is nothing compared to those cities. Either way I still don't like sitting in it and that's why I mostly go on weekdays instead.
You can't blame Trader Joes for going to this location. Woodruff Road has very high demographics both income and population wise. It's a goldmine area for retailers and restaurants. That's why it's able to land things like Chipotle, Whole Foods, Costco, etc.

Some folks don't really have any choice about when they can run errands, etc..
I've only been to a Trader Joe's once- we don't have them around here, either. I'm looking forward to it when we're in Greenville.
Want traffic? My little 5 mile commute here in west central Florida features 11 traffic lights, and takes 40 minutes in the afternoon rush hour. And it's not in a downtown area- it's the perpetual suburban sprawl we enjoy so much here in FL.
Not the best spot for it in my opinion, but I'm THRILLED at the possibility of being able to shop at a Trader Joe's again. It's one of the few things I miss about living in Illlinois.
