This is so sad. I just learned that my cousin died a few days ago. He had diabetes. His mother died last year in a motorcycle accident. She was a passanger and the driver swerved to avoid a truck and she fell off and the truck ran her over. And my cousin's parents were divorced. But his Dad was always so kind and considerate of his ex-wife. And now their first born is gone.

The wake and services are tomorrow. Wish we were closer. Now he's gone.

So, whatever your belief, please say some prayers for this family. There's a sister and her father left.

Thank you.

Sympathy to you and your family!

Years ago, I had an aunt die suddenly. It was a shocker. She was the glue that held most of the family and extended family together.

Thank you.

I'm just deep breathing right now. I'm getting together some photos for tomorrow.

It is particularly hard when it is so sudden. With a long illness, there is some kind of slow resolution. But with this, to die before your parents is so sad.

It helps to know that with the power of the Internet, we can all raise a collective prayer for all our lvoed ones.

I'll pray for your aunt, too.

I am sorry about the loss of your cousin. I will keep your family in my prayers. Best wishes to you, too. Diabetes is a tough disease to live with, I know because I have it, Type 1. I'm sure your cousin did the best he could, living with it.

Yes, a sudden death can be quite a shock. Parents lose children all of the time but we never want to consider that we might be that parent. It truly is one of the most traumatic things which happen in our lives.

I don't know, did this young man follow his Mother? Perhaps he missed her so that his health failed.

I lit a candle and have thought about and prayed for all of you.

Thank you, everyone.

Yes, I think my cousin must have been very sad about his mother. Who wouldn't? She was young anyway - almost 50. and the way she died was a horrific accident. I last saw this family a few months ago when we went out to dinner. Actually, the young man who died is my cousin's son, so that would be my second cousin. He seemed to be happy, considering. Perhaps he just didn't take care of himself.

I'lll know more later this evening.

It's bright and sunny here now. Perhaps the clean air will help. I find that through these moments of grief, the sunshine and nature helps me to see God and Spirit. I think Sean would be happy for today. Just a different kind of life, now, right? For him, I mean. For us, mystery yet.

There's a few more hours yet before his service. Now I find myself crying more and more. I think the stages of grief are just beginning for me. And I am now sad to go the funeral home. I don't want to see a young man in the casket. So unfair.
