Fortunately, I saw my father before he died. I was startled to say the least to have seen him in such emancipated condition. He went in and out, sometimes not recognizing me. We had two days of visit. Adult Protection Services were called in because his wife was abusing him mentally, emotionally and physically. She is a peace of work and honestly, I hope I never meet another person like her in my life. She is a liar, manipulator, con artist, conniver, and really her mind is whacked out. My poor father was under her spell. In a span of six weeks she worked on me, saying awful things to me. I finally got wise to her and figured out her game.

I believe my father is in a much better place.

Thank you all for your support. My husband and father died within a year apart.

{{{{Hugs}}}} Your dad has been released from his tormentor/abuser. He's happy, at peace and is now feeling love again. As awful as it was, it is happy for him....thoughts and wishes for peace and comfort.
