I imagine there are gatherings of people, especially in your populated area that have "Support groups" for thing kind of thing with people who have also suffered loss in such ways. Maybe look into that?

I'm really sorry you went through that, and sorry that you found out the true nature of so called friends in your darkest hour.

Not all people are so insensitive... they possibly lack emotional maturity. I wonder if they have ever experienced a sudden loss themselves?

A friend of mine's brother recently committed suicide. Its devastating and completely destroyed him & his parents... Although there are times when I don't know what to say... I can't imagine anyone being so insensitive to say such things....ultimately you're better off without them.

Friends who arn't there for you during the worst/hardest of times are not "true" friends to begin with. I had to learn this the hard way after a 20+ year friendship finally went down the crapper....

Yes. I had mainly friends who weren't really ok or they just wanted something from me. I think we can send out signals of being too nice, and some people sense that and take advantage of it. Heck, most do. I prefer nature and animals and very few people.
