That's my problem elston praying for the best and at the same time fearing the worst!
No eggs or creamed onions this year gentlearts. I'm saving every dime I can and also my arm has been really sore so I'm trying to take it very easy. At work I am basically doing date checks on items and dating new items. That takes little work on my arm.
I am praying for good results for McKenzie and you! Have a great day everyone!

A wise and beautiful poem by Mary Oliver

To Live In This World

you must be able
to do three things
to love what is mortal;
to hold it

against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go”

Good morning everyone!
Hard rain here last night and now it's foggy!
Last night as I was walking the dogs my neighbors that do my lawn and store some things in my metal building asked me over for an early Thanksgiving Dinner. It was so nice! Good food and great company! They are truly angels.
Work tonight and off to my sons house tomorrow!
I was really sad yesterday--the holidays and also concern for my dear friend in CA that comes and stays here a couple times a year. She had tests for MS/stroke and a few other things that could be causing her to have shaking at times. Hope it's nothing serious! She is such a good person.
Hope everyone has a safe blessed day!

I had a call from the vet regarding McKenzie's urinalysis and blood work. Apparently they show some signs of "Cushings Disease" but she asymptomatic so we are going to wait and see at her next physical when she is tested again. I am mostly relieved....but still a bit worried about her.

I plan to do a lot of prep work for my thnksgivng dishes today.......clean and cook shrimp, cut up veggies and make sure all ingredients are on hand and handy.

I remember that my Mom used to make the stuffing the day ahead and keep it in fridge and stuff the turkey T. morning...but with all the concerns about food poisoning....I won't put it together till tomorrow; but I will cook the sausage and onions and celery and have that set aside till tomorrow. We are going to the community dinner at noon.

I will also prepare the butternut squash and brussel sprouts and hve them ready for roasting tomorrow.

Cyn.....that was so nice of your neighbors!

Wow elston--you are amazing! Your dinner sounds so good. Wish I enjoyed cooking still. I did enjoy being included in my neighbors dinner!
I have a friend that has a dog with Cushings Disease and has had it for years. Still I hope McKenzie's tests show no problems!

Well, so much for that new car. The Mrs. had a cow when I told her I wanted to go to the Tri-Cities to test-drive and she slammed that door shut soundly.

Well elko, as you well know things happen for a reason. Your wife has reasons she is not comfortable with this situation so maybe something better is right around the corner!
Been awake since 2:30am. Lots on my mind I guess!
Hope everyone has a great and happy Thanksgiving today! Enjoy!!

I just had a hard time logging onto CD they wanted my password and of course I had forgotten it. I had to reset it after lots of wrong guesses. I was able to reset it......so I will be around.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
