Decision made! I am going but not taking kitty today! Need to feel better about that drive before I take her! I am anxious but talked to my manager and she advised that I come in! At least it will be day hours! Please keep me in your prayers! Thank you ahead of time.

cyn - does your store sell puppies and cats? Glad you're safe - we love you and care about you. Try and grab some rest at every opportunity - I have ta do the same with my job. I slept from about 10:00PM last night to about 3:30AM this morning over here in southern New Mexico. Sleep is always a good thing for a sleep tech. to try and get - our lives are running in bio-reverse because we work at night. Our circadian rhythms are all messed up. But, if I make sure I take a nap here and there I'll be OK. Glad you're safe, cyn!

Still plan on heading to Phoenix to test drive that Nissan Sentra SR Turbo 6-speed - Tuesday is the day I'm planning on going over there. I want to get that car but first I want to make sure it passes a certified mechanic's close inspection.

Everyone have good Sunday's - our meeting is at 10:00AM.

Good morning!
I was so relieved once I finally got home. All the roads were closing around us so I barely made it! Whew and I left work 2 hours early. My gravel road was a mess and the water was up to the top of my tires in some places. Bad day for sure. Not a good choice to try to get to work. I didn't make enough to cover any problems I could have had!
Today should be okay. I work today at 10am so once again I will go to work. I hope this storm is over and done....I have had enough for sure! I feel so sad for so many who have had it so much worse--praying for them!
Hope you all have a blessed day!

Today was good. I am not sure why but lately I am so tired all the time. It's hard for me to stay at work when I am that tired but I did. The roads are clearing but a lot of downed trees etc! Lots of people struggling with this storm for sure. Praying for them!

Nice to hear that you had a good day, cyn.
Did you take the kitty back to work?
Things still look pretty bad as far as the flooding from the hurricane. Do you have evacuees in your area?
My advice for being tired is take a nap any chance you get

My DIL, who is alone with a baby in Southern Pines, has electricity as of last night. I haven’t heard if she lost any food or had any damage, but I’m grateful everyone is OK.

Good morning!
Oh gentlearts I can't even imagine this with a baby too. So sad....
No Molly I did not take th kitty back yet--hopefully today. Have been waiting for the other cats to be returned so she is not there alone. It's hard taking them back but know I must for her best interest and mine too. I cannot afford another pet and my other cats will be happy when we are back to normal. I just pray this one gets a home soon!
My girlfriend who is a nurse told me to start eating more protein for energy. I just don't eat enough so back to working on that!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!

I am glad you were able to take the kitty home with you for awhile.
Almost all of the rescues I've worked with pay for the food and medical care of their animals placed in "foster homes".
So maybe in the future that might be an option for you to provide a vital service, and enjoy the companionship of other animals, with no financial responsibility on your part
