My Baxter is like that.....when we got him a couple of months ago....he had abcessed teeth and we had to have a lot of teeth removed.....he recovered fine....but he is still very wierd about meal times....he approaches...then backs away and cautiously picks something out of the dish and drops it on the floor....long dramatic process to get him to eat....and since the other dogs want "at it"....it is a Pain. I thought it was because of his bad teeth .... but they are all fine now. I have to coax him to eat with "left over human food" or special treats like chicken dropped on top of his bowl. He also has a wierd posture....extending his back legs away from the dish....as it it is something to be dreaded. But if I were to put down a bowl of left overs from last nights supper....he would be all over that.

Big huge smile elston---that's my Bella to a "T". Not sure what they are thinking or why they do this but it is what it is and it does require so much patience from us. Now Bella loves cat food--today I decided she is 11 years old--Bassets only live to 12-14 years so guess what...she gets some cat food--still has her healthy dry food but with canned cat food mixed in. She still only wants the cat food of course and who knows, I may give it to that too. Hey, I want her full and happy...her life has not been all that good so it's the least I can do. Like you I have to sit through the entire meal just so BuBu doesn't gulp it all up! Yes, It's a pain but hey, I love em both! It's good to know I am not the only one going through this!

Good morning all! It's off to Church! This next week is a busy one....my psychologist on Monday and then my favorite person--my therapist on Tuesday. Bella ate good this morning--first she had her healthy dry dog food with some healthy canned dog food mixed in plus I let her (I even gave BuBu a spoonful) eat the leftover canned cat food. She was happy so I am happy! Time to jump in the shower now so everyone have a blessed day!

Today is a full day and for some reason I just could not sleep last night. Maybe to hot? Or just a lot on my mind! Had more computer problems this morning--ugh! My son said he will replace this one as soon as he gets some time.....Hopefully this will keep working for that long! Have a blessed day!

Don't worry about your computer - your son will replace it. We had to do the same thing a couple years ago. We bought a new tower at Best Buy for $249 on sale and it's been a good purchase for us. The salespeople are helpful, too.

Have a great day, cynwldkat and all of the regulars on here, too!

Back from my psychs visit--the same old thing--she wants me to take antidepressants and I just have to many bad reactions from them--and I have tried most of them. Guess I'll just keep doing what I have been doing although sometimes the anxiety is bad....I'm working on that.
I think my yard grew......have been mowing for 2 hours and not even touched the obvious..oh my. This is when I wish I was 20 years younger or rich (both would be nice too)! Ha! Back to mowing.....
