Knowing you elston I rather doubt your yard is that bad--maybe in your eyes.
Had to rush Bella, my female Basset Hound to the vet this morning. She has 2 wounds that are old but for some reason opened up and were in bad shape plus other things and it needed immediate attention. The vet kept here for the morning, bathed her, cleaned out the old wounds, gave me a couple of prescriptions and sent her home. Now I have to keep on top of it. It always seems one of the critters has something to be done. Oh well at least she is home and hopefully on her way to recovery! I hate having to go to work and leaving her but I am sure she will be fine.

Thanks cyn......the front yard is really pretty ..... needs work always.....but it has beautiful palm trees and gardens and I have someone mow for me and trim.....so it is pretty. The banana trees are much much more work than I imagined and left to their own devices....get pretty messy. Since my neighbors (nice neighbors) are fastidious and their yard always looks like they are ready to put it on the market and a photographer is coming to take the portfolio shots......so I feel bad that my backyard is more shall we say "rustic" or "natural".

Good thoughts being sent for your kitty.

Hoping Bella gets better, cyn. Our male Pom, Cotey, has kennel cough. Meds aren't helping yet!

It's my old lady Basset Hound "Bella" that has problems elston--but since the majority of my critters are cats I can see how you thought "kitty"--smile.
Elkotronics, kennel cough is a tough one to get rid of. Just keep up with those meds and you may even have to try a different one. So many of the common illnesses get immune to so many of the meds we have to switch around sometimes. Wishing for the best for your little Cotey!
My daughter and her family should be arriving in NC tomorrow. Her brother will pick them up and they will be going to his house. Not sure when they are coming to my house--but if not soon I'll go to my sons house. I am so excited to see them!! Have a blessed day everyone!

Is Bella your original bassett....or the one that your son "gave' to you?

Bella is the second Basset my son gave me last year. BuBu is the original who has been here 9 years I would guess. Bells is still being stubborn about eating....
My daughter flies in today to Charlotte. I am so excited. Hope everyone has a lovely day!
My friend who had the silent heart attach was told by his doctor yesterday he is fine!!! He just needs to drink a lot of water.

This problem (dehydration) actually brings a lot of folks in to the hospital. Make sure you are drinking enough liquids - meaning water, mostly!
