No, don't close the thread. My husband died two years ago Christmas day and I still need this thread. I come here almost everyday. It's really been helpful. I can't tell you how many times I've come here and read one of your posts and thought, yeah, I feel just like that.

Smile---really big smile!!! Thanks janellen and elston! It is people like janellen that I keep hoping this thread will reach out to touch them as well as myself! We are not alone--even if we never hear from a certain person it doesn't mean they aren't here!
Thank you all my friends and supporters!!!

This thread has helped me a lot too. When I first lost my son, I didn't use it much. You all were too upbeat for me! That's why I started my own because I just wanted to hear from people who were close to me in grief.

Now that it's been over a year, I appreciate seeing what everyone's up to.

Lately the gray skies have kept my spirits down but, that too, shall pass.

Well good...it's settled then! Onwards we go. I have to tell you all, the people in this thread, and the whole grief and mourning forum, are the best people on the net. I owe a debt of gratitude to many here...you cyn, tamizinluv, g grasshopper, smilinpretty, elston, meo, and on and on... Everyone who posts here brings comfort and hope, and I thank you all.

We who have lost a loved one have been changed forever, but not necessarily for the worse. Sometimes it brings out the best in us.

I am happy to hear you say that janellen.
Good morning all my friends!
Raining here but still warm for this morning and then another cold snap will be here. It's winter so I expect that. It's funny though--how many places do you know where you can have all 4 seasons in one week? Crazy!
Work today...Boss is out of town for a seminar and we are getting in 4 pallets of animal food! They stack it about 6 ft high....it's a lot. Oh well, time goes faster when we are busy!
Have a blessed day everyone!

Good morning - it's cold here in KC, about 27 degrees. I go to work tonight and will work for three nights in a row. I get Sunday off, then I work Monday through Wednesday nights and get the next 4 nights off. Studying hard for my 2nd try at the big 'ole Exam. I went to our meeting last night and enjoyed the Spiritual fellowship and God's Holy Spirit soothed me immensely.

I truly hope that everyone coming here is helped by this thread. I have lost my Dad, Mom, many grandparents and many of my wife and I's pets. Loss is very, very difficult. But it is unfortunately part of the human condition. I think we should try and stay positive because, among other things, our Creator wants us to stay positive. He is positive and all-powerful, all-knowing, and full of wisdom and love. And he's positive and wants us to be positive. Better things are ahead, people!
