My sister is in a lot of pain but hopefully on the road to recovery--very slowly of course. She will be sent to a rehab in a few days. I am just grateful for my BIL---he has been her rock! I always tell him how much my other sister and I appreciate him and all he does for our sister.
I hope everyone has a lovely day!
Cyn...........you have so many "angels" stepping up and helping you on your way. You are uncommonly blessed in many ways.

I was at a different frame of mind today. I love to cook now but when I first moved away from home I used to call my mom & had her walk me through the recipes I'd grown up with.

Mom passed away 4 years ago & it was a blessing as she had dementia but enough lucidity to know she didn't want to go on anymore. So, as I stated, a blessing.

Today I saw a recipe for goulash & it took back a ton of memories of how she helped me learn how to cook via the phone. They were good, tender memories.

The recipe wasn't how she made it but evoked enough memories that it brought back the remembrance. The ghoulish turned out as mom's would have & was delicious.

Thanks for good memories that warm the heart.

Very quiet here yesterday---hope everyone is good! My wonderful neighbor came over and mowed my grass as I went before him and picked up twigs etc. It felt good to have the grass a bit shorter as it was getting pretty high. This is so early to mow but we've had an unusually warm winter.
Elston, when you mentioned that I have been uncommonly blessed in so many ways it made me do some serious thinking and I decided to go back to writing in my grateful list. We sometimes only remember the bad things when there are so many good things to remember. Thank you for that elston!
Tomorrow I have to be at work by 7:45am for a meeting. Tomorrow is when we get in all of those pallets of dog and cat food so I hope the meeting doesn't last to long! I hope we get to hear some good news! Business is still pretty slow so I don't know.....
Please have a blessed day everyone!

Good Morning Friends. Cyn I am glad that I helped you shift your focus and that you are keeping your gratitude journal.....like the neighbor coming over to do your grass. That they noticed the grass was getting too long...shows that they are looking out for you....even when you are unawares.

Now I wish I hadn't gone to the post office...ugh....auto insurance and property taxes. The price we pay to live. May have to go on credit but praise the Lord I do have some credit! Just be so happy to get back to working normal days and hours! Not knowing from one week to the next is so stressful!
The weather is awesome here today Dude!
I did some house cleaning. mopping and vacuuming but boy my shoulders are hurting now. Maybe I'm just out of shape or maybe they are just getting worse..don't know. At least it's done for now.
