Finally my baby fur-baby ate!! Just took his time. Will walk him later and keep a close eye on him.
My girlfriend and I went and got those Golden passes--she bought mine for me--such a nice friend--and then we went to Walmart where she decided to buy items to stock my house up on! I cannot believe how sweet she is and caring. Tonight she is making a lemon pork roast and baked potatoes. Smells heavenly here! My neighbor also stopped by and weed wacked my entire yard. He does that now and then--I am so blessed--so blessed!

Ok, so I'll just say it. Sometimes I can't stop myself, so I hope it amuses. When you said this, I thought of the old saying..." if a tree falls in the forest, and nobody is there, does it make any noise?"
It made me think, "If two men are married, and it's their anniversary, will either of them remember?"

Yes - I'm so glad that Bubba ate, cyn! And the reason your friend is doing all of those nice things for you is because you deserve it. No kidding - you are such a fine lady - well behaved and hard working. You are a great example for so many people to look up to. You will always be OK because you work hard to get things done - and you take such good care of your animals - something that is very admirable. Animals are so horribly abused in this society in order to make some people rich.
Those people are going to have to answer to the One who made those animals one day. It's not going to be a pretty sight for many of them. If it came down to me needing to butcher animals the way they're done today or, lose my job, for instance, then I would just have to walk off that job. There's just no way I could carry that stuff out. And I am a meateater - I was raised by a Dad and Mom that owned an A&W Drive-In Restaurant. Raised on Teenburgers. It's just that now the animals are packed in so tight and treated so nastily in order to maximize profits. I only hope that the Creator snuffs their pain away after a certain point and lets them die - lets them just go to sleep.
But you are one who deeply loves and cares for your animals - something that is wonderful, cyn!
Thank you elko for those kind words. All I know is that I feel so blessed with my friends!
I have physical therapy this morning and then work tonight. My girlfriend said she will just relax and read. I offered her my car but I think she feels insecure using it not only because if anything happened and that she is afraid she may get lost. Bubba appears to be doing much better this morning..not sure for how long.
Hope everyone has a blessed day!

I am so happy for your blessing of friends and neighbors. (Like attracts like)

Ouch--therapy hurt this time. They put a patch on --and anti inflammatory to help with the pain. I stopped and got my mail and another ouch--the bills are starting to come from the doctors. I thought insurance covered it but not until I pay $3.000. That's the deductible. Guess I'll be making payments. Insurance sure isn't what it use to be.
I didn't sleep much last night. I didn't think the exercises they gave me were doing much but I sure felt it last night plus I had Bubba on my mind. Pretty restless night and I have to work today. Hope I get through it okay. I'll probably sleep good tonight.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day!
Hey elko, I hope Washington works out for you, although right now it seems like the whole state is covered in smoke from the big fires in BC, plus some fires in Western Montana & here in WA as well. My little dog with a CHF is suffering from it. Good luck & positive thoughts to you!
cyn hoping Bubba continues to feel better. Sorry about the ouchie shoulder. What is that saying no pain no gain?? Not that I totally believe it.
Marsha Marsha Marsha. Bummer on the smoke and your little guy with CHF. So far we are fairly clear here but that can change in a hurry. I heard of lightening storms not too far off and the smoke usually funnels up this way.
I decided vice grips are now my favorite tool. So focused on finishing the new 40 foot of fence I forgot to eat so in having a cool down and noshing down a chicken thigh. Still need to get my patio put back together and watered. Then do the two gates with the smaller wire. Another hot day.

Yeah, I can't even believe they're still gonna place somebody in that job. I guess the Manager is a teacher at all sorts of this and that around Colville, and has had a very tough time getting all of his hospital responsibilities done. So the HR Rep. I always talk to there has helped him get some of that lingering stuff done, and at the same time asked him if he wanted to place the Sleep Tech. person now - or should we just totally drop this job req.! So I don't know if that sounds good or not. Apparently it's just a 2-bed lab and there's only one other full-time Sleep Tech. So, in that respect, it sounds like a good chance that they're gonna fill it. It could go to one of the other two people that applied to this position as well. I don't know - I just keep applying and applying and praying and hopefully one day I'll snag one of these. The Hastings, NE, job is coming along, too. I've had 2 phone interviews and now HR is doing their reference checking, so that one is moving right along now. So these two have risen to the top of my job possibilities list for right now.
Man, that smoke sounds nasty. I've got asthma, too, but I have my Albuterol with me at all times. I like the idea of a large lake near Colville, Lake Roosevelt, the Columbia River, Colville Rec. Area and its mountains, etc. It would be cloudy and rainy and cold, icy and snowy in the winter, but, the 4 seasons would be nice and the town has a Drive-In Theater, too, which would be cool.
Over to the west near where one of my sisters lives in Okanogan, there is one wildfire going, or there was around the weekend. They could start up with carelessness or lightning at any time, of course.
cyn - I also am pulling for Bubba ta feel better and for your shoulder to quiet down.
shades - you are a busy one, aren't you? Good for you - you're fulfilling the American Dream of home ownership and the betterment of same. Enjoy!
Everyone have good Wednesday nights!
