Well, that was certainly an eventful New Years Day for you. It's good you got the surgery done and are recovering now. Hopefully today won't be too painful.

A very brisk 26 degrees here in north Florida this morning. We are projected to have overnight lows in the mid-20's for the next 6 days, but we do "warm" up to the mid-40's in the day. I know that most of the country has much colder temps, so I'm not complaining (too much...lol) because I am grateful that I don't have to deal with ice and snow.

Yes Molly..it is cold here but then I hear how cold it is for others and we are pretty lucky...at least no snow to deal with. So I understand what you are saying!

We had to take our little beagle girl to the vet. She was yelping as if in pain. She got some pain medication and put on a weight loss diet....probable joint pain. I can sympathize with that I know all about hip and knee pain. She is now resting comfortably. Her brother Baxter......who isnt always very nice to her.....seemed really concerned and worried and wouldnt eat his breakfast.....until we came home and things settled down. He knew we were worried.

Gentlearts.....I hope you're doing ok and not too much discomfort.

She is so lucky to have you all!
I know how tender her other daddy is and am sure McKenzie is keeping a close caring watch over her too. A good loving family!

Thank You cyn. She is at the vet now for xrays and blood work to clear her for dental work.

My McKenzie's xray and blood work brought bad news. She has a mass in her chest just in front of her heart. The vet refered us to a canine oncologist as our local vet cant treat her. We have to decide what we are going to do. She is not symptomatic at the present time......no distress.
She is our oldest dog....she is about 13 years old; we got her when she was about 3. We got her in CA and then she moved with us to Maine and then Florida.

This has really knocked me for a loop.
