No electricity all day yesterday!! It was so cold! They finally got it back on by 5pm. We have 6 inches of snow and am not sure when I can get out....tomorrow is my doctors appointment for my arm and I really need to go to that! Praying for a warmer day to help melt some of the snow.
oh no! Having no electricity is not fun. It was out all day? That's crazy. I hope it warms up soon and melts the snow so you can get to your appointment. I am sure ready for spring, and I'll bet you are, too
Well we finally couldn't take it any more and inched out way out my gravel road---the snow was still soft and we did okay but it was scary. Now the main interstates are fine--bits of black ice but clear for the most part. Today we will meet my friend at the neighbors (his sons home behind us and they have a paved road to their home) so he won't have to try to drive down my gravel road to get to my doctor appointment. It's suppose to warm up enough to melt the snow for the most part today.
Bubba has another upset tummy this morning. Wish I knew how to stop them but I can only do what the vet tells me to do. It's so sad because he was doing so well.....sigh.....
My MacKenzie has been having "digestive problems" and accidents.....but I think we are too blame. As you know we are giving her doses of love....since we know she won't be with us too much longer. Changes in diet can cause diarrhea! So we are cutting back to her regular diet.....which she likes so its not a hardship. Any treats will be small ones....not plates of left overs. Too Much Kindness isnt good either.
Yes elston, we often kill our pets with love! I'm feeling pretty sad with my animals getting older and it's difficult with all that is going on. With Bubba having his problems it makes being away from home for any amount of time so hard. Work is my big concern but I need to make money...more now then ever! And today is my doctors appointment in Concord--an hour away! I will walk both dogs just before we go and pray it is enough. I sure can relate to you and your situation elston--doesn't make it easier for either of us I know but you and yours are always in my prayers!
I hope everything goes well with Bubba and all of your babies, cyn, it is hard. We had to reschedule Cotey's teeth cleaning until Tuesday so I could get rest. My wife is really in tune with me and my tiredness from working nights - she looks out for me. Cotey's choking often - I'm really concerned about him and can't wait to get him to the vet Tuesday. We love her as a vet and her office is only about a 1/4 mile from our home.
We do our best and cyn, you're doing your best - you're a great pet Mom, same with you, elston, and many of you out there who come on this thread are, too, I'm sure! Busy doing CEU's for Respiratory Therapy license renewal today - I need 8 clock hours of CEU's - I'll be busy as can be today.
Good morning friends!
My report from my Ortho doctor was good! He said it is healing nicely! Took x-rays and they looked good. Now I have some exercises to do daily and just using it with respect! What a relief. Now to get myself stronger mentally and physically!
Bubba is doing better this morning. I hope it continues. Bella is having a hard time with the ice and walking with her bad leg----I walk next to her in case she falls. The snow and ice should finish melting today hopefully.
Joyce will be here one more week and then I am on my own once again. I know I can do it--I have been for 3 years now. Still anxious about it.
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
