My new boy friend of four months aunt, whom I have never met, has died. Should I go to the funeral?

That depends now close you are to the boyfriend. After all you would be there to support him in his loss; nothing else really.

If the boyfriend was close to his Aunt, and this is a difficult time for him, then absolutely you should go as texdav said, to support him and help him through his loss.

If he wasn't close to his aunt, but is going to her funeral out of respect for his family, then I'd go, too, as this would be a good way to meet his extended family....

You go to funerals to support the survivors...not for the dead.

You don't mention if your boyfriend wants you with him. Your company may make it easier for him, or he may prefer you not be there at all. I would leave that up to him

If he wants you to go, go. I took my then girlfriend to the funeral of her friends boyfriend, barelly knew her outside of the Capn Ds she worked at, she was happy I show'd up- we showed up. I never knew the guy existed.
