So what makes me so sad tonight? Maybe because it will finally be real. There are so many times I've denied reality because it's not tangible. But once I have his ashes it will be real. I miss my boy so much.

I'm so, so, sorry. I don't think there could be anything worse in a parent's life than having your child pass away. I hope you will find peace in your loss some day, and can focus on the good things about your son and smile. (HUGS)

Thanks to both of you. Tonight I don't feel as if the pain will ever end, but I know it will eventually become better.

How awful for you, my heart goes out to you and this time and for the future, how does anyone get over something like this.. I hope I never get to know..xxx

Thanks to all of you for your loving support.
It was a tough, tough day. First the 200 mile drive & navigating city traffic - I was tied in knots by the time we arrived. Many thanks to my brother for going with me.
The staff were wonderful. The woman whom I'd been dealing with made sure it was me & took copies of my identification. She knew what my ex had tried to pull off; my paying 1/2 of the expenses,, but getting nothing in return.
She was so supportive & even hid my 1/2 of his ashes. My baby was badly burned 11 years before, which hastened his demise because of all the pills he had to take for pain management.
I'd brought pictures of my beautiful boy & she was thankful to see how he looked before the fire.
So, all in all, it was a really tough day but I am so thankful he is with me now.

My heart goes out to you. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know only too well the pain of losing one's son. Perhaps it is time for me to fetch my son's ashes.
