And I'm just now getting weepy having to make all these phone calls for insurance, disability, funeral home, nursing home, and the list goes on. I just want to sleep and vegetate, but there is so much to do if I am going to pay the bills this month.

So sorry, Maggie. My condolences.

People will be asking what they can do to help. When someone asks, give him a job to do. You do not have to be the one cleaning house and grocery shopping right now.

I'm really sorry for your loss and I'm so sad you have to walk this path! I know you would want to smack me for saying this (I did want to smack anyone who told me this in the early days) it will get better over time. It's a hard path to walk and there are so many ups, downs, deep black-holes and all on the way but you can pull through. Lean on us here! We'll catch you if you fall. This forum helped me so many times in my darkest moments and I'm forever thankful for it.

Maggie

I am sorry for your loss. Yes life (bills, insurance, wills, etc.) goes on but set your own, comfortable pace to deal with them. If others can help, allow them to do so.
