If you had one extra day to spend with one person who has passed away, would it be Family or friend?


Lover?


I would spend that day with an old man, an old friend of mine but it would be a hard thing to choose especially how much I miss my sister, my Dad and my grandparents. It was way worse when my grandfathers died cause they were the air I breathed.


I think I would choose a friend though, and that seems so strange, doesn't it?


Which one would you choose?

My husband. Most definitely. After almost seven years, I still miss him desperately, and I am still deeply in love with him. We had 35 short years together. I always thought we'd be one of those couples who had a 50th wedding anniversary....

I would choose my dog who died in 1991. I have had closure with every family member who died so there is nobody I would choose to spend one last day with. And for those suffering with grief, I don't mean to sound insensitive but when everything that needed to be said was said before a loved one died what would one more day accomplish?


My husband died 6 years ago next month. It's only been the last 6 months or so that I have completely gotten over it.

Honestly no one.

My life only moves forward, and truthfully that's something I have no control over. I have my past memories of friends and loved ones who have passed on. I have no reason to pain myself to have one extra day to be with them.

If I was forced to pick someone, it would probably be a person I ran into one day who intrigued me and had a short conversation with but never got to know them, but of course since I never knew that person I wouldn't remember who that person is.

Not everyone gets the chance to say goodbye to their loved ones. My husband died in an accident so I never got any closure. I saw him in the morning before work and said goodbye like it was a regular day. I told him everyday that I loved him but I would give anything to have just one more day to hug him, kiss him, to tell him how much he means to me and to thank him for giving me 13 amazing years. One more day would accomplish a lot for me.

My grandma. She died at Christmastime in 2014. She was more of a parent to me than my mom or dad ever was. I miss her terribly.

My dad. My son was the apple of his eye and I'd want to be able to let him know how great my son's doing, he'd be so proud.
