Thank you Eldemila. I greatly appreciate your detailed response in your amazing efforts to help me. Thank you! Thank you!

James was a philanthropist, so your findings did not surprise me. I will try my luck when I can with the Ancestry Library edition. WOW, I did not know that my friend’s father was a doctor. While I knew my friend, he had eluded to me that his father was very well off when he was alive, but James never spoke of how the family fortune was made, however he never said much of anything about his family . . . i.e. mother and any siblings. However James was very, very modest, and never talked about money much. Yet I will contact the cemetery (where his father is) to see if I can find out any information.

When I was last in contact with James in 2011, he was living in Los Gatos (a city near San Jose, California, in Santa Clara County). Yet for sure, I will check to the two Santa Clara County links that you provided to see if I can find any information. Unfortunately, my acquaintance does not know the actual location or place where James passed away. Though I did not know James in any great detail, however I would have guessed no matter where he passed away, that he would have wanted to be buried in Wisconsin, with his deceased family. Yet the more green/environmentally friendly he began to grow as I knew him, he may have opted to be cremated and his ashes scattered somewhere and not kept in an urn. While I had known him (starting in 2006), he had always lived in Los Gatos, but I never had any type of contact information for him while he was in Wisconsin. He did travel to Wisconsin often on vacation, and he loved the Green Bay Packers.

Maybe I did not do my search correctly, however I could not find James’ mother “Catherine Brennan” being buried with his father “Dr. Vernon J. Hittner”, since she was listed as Dr. Vernon J. Hittner’s spouse.

Chiluvr1228, I have no personal information on James , so I have no idea what his SSN is or how I would even get it. Yet if I had James’ SSN, I think I could get the answer to all of my questions. Yet just by looking at the index and providing James’ name and year of birth, I did not get me a hit for him.

Yet to be proactive Eldemila, I will try the 2 Facebook groups you had provided to me, to see if I can solve my mysteries.

Thanks a MILLION for your help Eldemila, and Chiluvr1228.

You don't need the SSN to get access to those records. It doesn't list much info and would have a delay on availability.

I am surprised by Eldemila's research too! I could never pay attention long enough to find what you did!

I'm so very sorry Myrc60, I had meant to re-thank you and say that I would follow up with "your" Facebook links. So please accept my apologies in my error for not including you in my last post. Yet for sure, with all of the information that all 3 of you have been so very nice and kind to provide to me, it is a great deal to follow.

Thanks so very much.
