Funny thing is that I rarely paid attention to this song when it charted. And I don't believe she ever noticed it either. And yet, it's the first one I "YouTubed" in April 2015, a day after......

My husband definitely hated that song. He was a Dylan fan and loved most types of Rock and acoustic...but not that.
When my husband died, I listened to Aztec Two Step, among others.

.......when Mom went to pieces because her favorite dog died during dental cleaning, the one that always greeted her with "Isn't this a great morning!", the one that Dad (then in a nursing home due to brain cancer) picked, I thought I was about to lose her as well.
I called up all her friends I knew, but what I used to keep me focused (in a constant mental loop), was from Star Trek "A Private Little War" where McCoy's medical log is in voice over as he enters the village. Ie, in my head, "I must keep her safe until the arrival of the medical team" (ie, her friends).
Song wise, I don't know or don't recall. Book wise, during Mom's decline after her stroke, it was "Han Solo's Revenge" where the young Chieftan he greets, a scared young man in a duel but a groomed leader in negotiations, was what I used to find my focus as I handled affairs.
I've taken a heavy romantic view to life. Finally, while I don't believe it was song, movie, or literature sourced (but it probably was somewhere), in the late Cold War, one of my USN police troops was HIV positive and the feel around the base was if they went down, no one would go to assist. To me, I would...........for what kind of officer would I be not to go to the need of one of my own troops?
