Not sure that this will help you,but Dec.1st marked 49 years since my dad passed away. And I'm still grieving from time to time.

My dad passed away last April after a long battle with Alzheimer's. I thought I had come to terms with my grief. I lost my dog last week and my grief all came back to the surface. There is no timetable on grief. I am sorry for your loss.
