Just to clarify. She was always a patient of CC, since her husband retired from there. She was not just referred there. She has been passed around from specialist to specialist for about two years, having to do with back pain, and a hip replacement. She had nothing wrong with her, that they knew of, that should have caused her to drop dead..no heart condition, etc. Today, a more appropriate title for the thread would be, feeling angry.

Of course, she did drop dead, so hopefully the autopsy will tell why. For some reason, I feel like it might have been an aneurism, but we'll see. I'm at the place where I hope it was something like that, and not something that should have been caught before.

It seems like there will be time until the funeral, so we will most likely be able to drive.
Just to follow up. It was a massive heart attack. The husband and eldest son are following up with her doctor this week to hopefully get some good answers and some closure.

As for my selfish self, we made it up there, there was a calling hour before a mass and then on to the cemetery and a luncheon. Short and sweet. Wait until the kids find out the widower gave $100k to the church restoration in her memory. Glad I won't be there to see that.
