I was 38 when my dad died and with mom, 44. I miss them both every single day.

I was 49 when my dad died and 50 when my mother died. It was ALMOST a year to the date-missed it by a week or 2. The strangest thing was that my dad & my husband's dad died on the SAME DAY!!!

Almost 3 when my dad died and about 55 for my mother. Both parents are important but the importance of dads has been wrongfully diminished in our media/society. You are important, dads!!

I was 27 years old when my father passed away. He was much older than my mother, and died younger.

I'm as old as I am today when my mother died of natural causes ... her body slowly shut down bit by bit over a period of eight months starting with her feet, and ending with the ability to swallow. There were no hospital stays, no medications or treatments. Eights months ago doctors said maybe it's a TIA / mini-stroke, but the symptoms weren't quite right, and maybe it's elderly onset epilepsy, but again the symptoms weren't quite right. That is, in each case there was a symptom that contradicted the diagnosis.

I'm thankful that I had her as long as I did, and now it's my turn. I'm the next generation to let go of life one way or another. However, I will put an end to it myself before letting eight months of death claim each of my abilities to function one by one.

My last parent died of old age and I'm a generation younger - that's how old I am when my last parent died.

My dad passed away when I was 40. It was 3 wks after his 87th birthday.

My mom's still alive & 10 yrs younger than my dad.

My parents had me at much older ages than most people. They were old enough to be my grandparents in stead of my parents.

too young for my mom. i wish i had her until i was 50.
my father don't know if he's alive or dead. and i don't want to know. strangely i had a dream about him recently so maybe he's dead... seen him 2-3 times as a kid so the face was blurry. but i knew it was him.
