We have fire ants here. Their bite is painful and can puss up. Easy to see their "mounds" so they can be avoided.

I have found I never get to see my surroundings except when on asphalt because I am always looking down. I saw in Sarasota last month when I went to jury duty, even their sidewalks had fire ant mounds covering them!

My first introduction to Florida critters? 3 fire ants bit my shin when I was in an enclosed lanai! Those suckers burned and pussed up like crazy but I gently rubbed them instead of scratching.

I see it's been 19 days since I popped in here. I have posted in the tv section but I think that's about it. I have not been feeling well. IDK if it is depression or my body trying to fight off all the nasty germs these kids bring home from school. Maybe a bit of both. I have been dealing with what was almost narcolepsy imo. If I was awake 5 hours a day, I was doing well. Today is the first time I am feeling like myself and not exhausted. Of course "the master " of the house keeps the inside temp at 81 at all times too. Very unhealthy and makes me so tired. It's 86 outside but it's still 81 inside. I have every fan I have (3) on full blast and I am still sticky. It's not even going down past 71 at night so I am not opening my window.

So even after 19 days, I have nothing new happening. I suppose that is good too.

Oh, one of Rocky's kids broke through a screen of the lanai and actually stole the plastic container we kept the kibble in for Rocky. It had to be one of the kids because Rocky has never done anything like that in a year or so. It is so strange too, now that the kibble container is gone,so are the raccoons! Rocky hasn't even been around. Lol, how are they filling it?

Hagd everyone.

I thought I was going to kick the bucket early this a.m.! I went to bed at midnight and woke up at 2:30. I felt strange just lying there and when I tried to get out of bed, everything from my lungs, upward felt like I was moving sprained muscles! Trying to breathe was tough. If I tried to take a big breath, it felt like my lungs, heart and neck were going to explode. My head and my ears were throbbing and burning. I was scared. I put on clean pjs and undies, put my hair up in case I gave in and called 911. Took me 2 1/2 hours of trying to find a spot I could breathe. Then I woke up every 2 hours. Every time I woke up, I felt a little better. I have been sleeping in 2 hour increments all day and feel better except for my clavicle area.

I sure hope tonight is a good one!

Woah Tami! Get your butt to the ER pronto! I'm worried about you girl. The lung thing sounds serious. Didn't you have some lung test awhile back? If I remember right, you put off getting the results of the test. Did you ever get those results? Your symptoms could be heart related also. In any case, you need to find out what's going on. If those symptom reoccur, dial 911 and have an ambulance take you to the ER. Don't try to drive yourself.

Keep us posted.

Hi! I made it through yesterday and last night with not much pain or whatever you'd call it. I can't believe I slept SO much yesterday and still slept all night!

If it acts up again, I will call an ambulance. I promise. One of the things that kept me from calling was by the time I decided, it was going on 5a.m and I didn't want tired nurses and doctors looking at me. You would think that what I pay for my insurance that covers EVERYTHING, I would not hesitate to go but I do. My bad and me 'toopid!

No, janellen, I never got the results from the CT scan of my lungs. They never called. Which, I take as "no news is good news". I dislike that doctor SO much that I canceled my last appointment and am not going back to him. I really, really dislike him. I have never had this reaction to a doctor before.

If the symptoms don't appear again, I will tell my Primary when I go see her May 3rd. 9:30 in the a.m.!! I was at the receptionist's desk last appointment and when she reminded me of it, I said aloud, " Why would I make such an early appointment?" She said it was probably the only one available. This was in April of last year!!! Man, this living in "God's waiting room " sure makes it tough to see doctors in a timely fashion.

Thanks for your concern, ladies and gent but you know the saying about the horse and water? Lol, that is moi!

I'm off to shower and go out to Wally-World. I need coffee creamer and my mineral oil. Oh, another thing that is happening, my stomach is shrinking!! I tried to eat my normal amount of food the other day and I felt sick because my tummy was so full!! So I have cut my consumption down and sometimes just eat another light something before supper. IDK why but nothing any of us says to "the cook" makes her feed us any earlier than 7p.m. I need some food around 5 o'clock!

Hagd everyone. Ttyal.

When you go to your appointment with your primary in May, ask her to request the CT results be sent to her. She may already have them as whenever I see a specialist they always ask me who my primary care Dr is, so I assumed they sent their reports to them.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I understand, because you remind me of me. No, it's OK, it's just a flesh wound.

My son was once semi-hysterical demanding to know why I wouldn't call an ambulance. I told him that I wasn't going to because he was going to drive me to the ER. That worked. It would have cost me a lot of money.
