Bro Mike began the service by welcoming all who were here and saying that our Lord and Savior is welcoming each one of us if we want to be a part of His work upon the earth. Even though it seems that Adam’s family has been ungrateful to our Lord, there has been a righteous seed upon the earth at all times. There has been a large number of people who have been rebellious to God’s work all the way along. Even among His special people, the children of Israel, there have been those who were rebellious all the way along, and even after Christ came to the earth there have been many people who have tried to climb up some other way than by Christ Jesus, our Lord. But this Bible makes it very clear that there is no other way than through Him. And we must lay down our will and our way and that’s been the way it has been all the way along right up until now. . But He has made it clear that He would not bring anything upon the righteous but what there has been a way tor them to escape if they wanted to know it. Some have been willing to lay down their lives for the Lord’s sake, but some others have turned back and blasphemed and lost. But we think of a young man like Stephen who had the Spirit of the Holy Ghost dwelling richly within him. And he was doing the will of God in his day, and even in our day, when conditions arise among the Lord’s people that need to be dealt with, He will give us a way to handle these situations. if we bring it to the attention of the right and proper source. The Lord was able to set up a group of men to handle that condition, Stephen being one of them. And in the course of his work, Stephen was brought before a council of the Jews and he poured out a beautiful testimony before them that is recorded in the book of Acts. He let the Spirit of the Lord direct his words in front of this council who had much hatred toward him and toward the work of the Lord. And here we sit in a comfortable church and if we do not let the Spirit of the Lord direct us in our day, the testimony of Stephen will be a great witness against us. Stephen spoke plainly and boldly to that council. He told them about all the things that God had done for His people and of what God did toward those who did not keep His commandments, how that they had lost out. But Stephen got down to the last part of his testimony and he told them, “You are a stiff-necked group of people. You have persecuted and slain thosewhich shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers.” And what did they do? They were infuriated and they gnashed upon him with their teeth and they picked up stones and stoned him to death. But as they stoned him, he said “I can see Jesus Christ standing at the right hand of God,” and his next words were asking the Lord to forgive those who were stoning him. And that should be our prayer today that the Lord would forgive all of those who do not understand the work of the Lord today.
And what are the words of the truth doing to me in our day? Are they infuriating me or are they bringing me to my senses, that I need to let that Spirit of the Lord direct me in what ever I do. And if I do not accept the words of God and His commandments in our day, I am no different from those people who put Stephen to death. They were letting Satan deceive them into thinking they could stone Stephen and put the work of the Lord off of the earth. But it could not be stopped. I believe it was Gamaliel that told some of the Jews that if this work was of God they could not stop it, and they would not be happy fighting against it.
And I know that the Word of the Lord is being preached to us today, simple, plain and free. To accept it is peace and joy and everlasting life. To reject it is to be constantly looking for something you can never find, true peace and happiness. You accept the Lord and receive that spirit of the Holy Ghost [which peter said in Acts 5:32 that God gives to those who obey Him.] That is the only thing that can bring peace, peace, blessed peace. Do we understand what the Lord is offering to us. He has a spirit to offer us, not the spirit we were born with. When He gives us that spirit of the Holy Ghost, we become a new man If we want to keep that blessed peace, we don’t want to take that Spirit to places where it will be exposed to the filthiness of Satan. So we are constantly warned, “Be careful where you go, be careful what you say, be careful how you dress, all of these things have something to do with that Spirit that is within you. Do you want to keep it clean? Or do you want to take it to places where it will be exposed to things that would put it back like it was before. Now when we get our clothes dirty, sometimes we can get them cleaned back up, but sometimes we can’t get those stains out and we have to throw them away. And that’s exactly what can happen to us spiritually. If we get too much stain on that spiritual part then we have no more repentance for sin. So it’s a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But He’s there for us all. When we see that we’ve made a mistake, if we have done it ignorantly, we can take that mistake to Him quickly and repent of those things. And let Him use that fire and burn it up while we are still here in the land of the living. Suffer the loss here now in this life. And be able to get the gain in that final Judgment Day. If we have truly repented and have received the Spirit of Jesus Christ that we can be saved, we do not have a constant fear that we will be lost.. As long as I walk worthy of His Spirit; as long as I keep His commandments and do the things that He says for me to do, and keep that garment from being spotted, I have nothing to be worried about. And I know that He has promised, as we said earlier, that He would not allow Satan to tempt us but that He would make a way for us to escape. He said He did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, not the kind of power that man looks for to be over other people, but a spirit of power over Satan. That’s the power we should be seeking for. And along with that power, the spirit of love that we will be willing to do whatever our Lord asks us to do, that we will have a perfect love for Him and His Father, to put that foremost above all things. And along with that He will give us a sound mind, that you will be able to discern right from wrong, a mind that will make you able to understand the truths of God. The thing that we should be seeking is the kingdom of God, being ready to lay down this natural life to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. I know that He came here for the sins of the entire world, and I know that God did not leave one person out of that. Now does that mean that everybody on the top side of the earth are elect? Not at all. God knows that if the right circumstances are brought about, a person will either repent or will not repent. Let’s remember that this Bible that we have before us is the inspired word of God, and I believe we can get a pretty full understanding by reading those words, but I need to be careful of what man might say about certain parts of this book. I know that God has given revelations about certain things that are in this book, but if man brings certain things to you, or if I give it to you, we’d better take it to the Lord and let Him be the one that confirms that that is the truth. It looks like people in this country are trying to get farther and farther away from the teachings of this book. Will we want to get closer to understanding what the Lord will have us to do in our day, or will we be chasing and whoring after things of this world instead of seeking after the kingdom of God and letting Him give us the other things that we need. Let us all be begging and pleading for the proper understanding of His work today and what we need to do to help spread His word, to help others understand the importance of keeping His words on this earth and letting that Spirit dwell richly within us.
Text was from Matt. 9:36 through the 10th chapter.
    Some highlights:
Chapter 10: [1] And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. [Now that included Judas Iscariot. He was given power to cast out devils and to heal all manner of diseases. So how do we justify people saying that once you receive that Spirit you are saved and it does not matter what you might do, you are still saved. Judas had that Spirit and that power, but if we want to go back into that house we came out of, we can crucify Him again and go back into that house. Jesus said in another place that seven other spirits would come into him, worse than he had before. If we allow Satan to come back into us, there is no more peace within us.]
[22] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.[IF we endure faithfully whatever comes upon us to the end of this natural life we SHALL be saved,]
[32] Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. [33] But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. [Where do we want to live in eternity, with those who have the Spirit of God, or with all the murderers, the adulterers, and thieves? Jesus said that many would seek to enter in, but few would find it.]
[37] He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. [38] And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. [39] He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. [Jesus says that if we are not allowing the Spirit of God to direct the things we allow in our homes, we are not worthy of Him. And if we are not worthy of that Spirit, we will not receive it; we won’t retain it. And if we do not take up whatever the Lord gives to us, we are not worthy of Him.]
[40] He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. [41] He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. [42] And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
[We need to receive the Word of God, wherever it comes from, and let the Lord confirm it within you. If His Spirit is dwelling within you, you will in no wise lose your reward. Bro. Mike told us about the words of Jesus, when His followers asked Him what they did to be able to enter into eternal life, He said, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me (Matt. 25:40). “They were doing what the Spirit was directing them to do It’s laid out very plain to us, either you accept Him or you don’t accept Him, you either confess Him or you don’t confess Him. You either spend eternity in heaven, or you spend it in hell. The choice is ours. We have a great opportunity today – to do His will, to clean up, and to get our house in order, so that when He comes we can rise to meet Him in the air and to ever be with Him, our Lord and Savior.”

    Hi all,

I have been thinking to myself about a question. Why does God say family is important? Do you think if we have so many people serving the Lord that he will protect us Christians? For example, my pastor was saved from cancer. For a good reason because he is still bringing many people to the Lord.

Do you think that the Christian values in our nation has made us more safe than other nations? I mean in the 60s, there was a time where you could walk around the suburbs and feel so safe. Now a days, you have to worry more, but were still safer from other areas.

I imagine, in an idealistic world, with majority of people following what Jesus said in the Bible that our nation would be so much safer and so many more people will be filled with joy.

I also wonder if our suburbs in America are safer than other areas because the suburbs have a higher concentration of Christians.

I think though that suburbs and christianity all have something in similar. I think suburbs tend to have more families and community. And churches also press for community. Where as the world pushes for more individualism. But some people are saying that churches and suburbs are the complete opposite.

I also believe that there is a reason Christian churches are more financially successful than other religious groups because the Lord wants to bless his people. I believe that the Lord wants to bless Christian families. I believe the Lord wants to bless a nation with more Christian values. I want to believe the Lord blesses communities that still know and believe in Jesus?

Am I right in thinking this?

I mean I'm not sure it's empirically possible to prove this? But say there is a three men in a fire or 3 people in the hospital. Only one man is a christian and prays for healing. And the one who prays is saved, while the others die.

Bro. Mike began the service by reminding us again that if anyone tries to gain eternal life except through Jesus Christ they are thieves and robbers. He said if we seek Him in the right way we will find Him. All that ask, it will be given to them. If we are truly asking for help for our immortal souls, He will give it to us. We need to be asking for that living water that will last eternally, asking for the food that comes from Him. We need to ask ourselves if we are hungering for the Spiritual food that is offered to us today. If somebody has invited us to a very nutritious meal, and we had filled ourselves with junk food, we would not be able to eat much of the nutritious food. We need to come here today empty spiritually, not filled with thoughts of natural things but hungering for the food that our Lord will give us spiritually. We know that if we obtained the whole world and lose our immortal souls, it would be a terrible thing. But we may be letting Satan tempt us to put off feeding our immortal soul until it is too late. Just put it off a little longer, and a little longer and then come up lost, eternally lost. We know that if we seek the Lord in the way He says to do it, He will not turn His back on anyone. He will give us that Holy Spirit, that Comforter, and we can use it all the days of our life and do the things that He says for us to do and have that confidence that Paul had when he said he had fought a good fight. And we could have that confidence when we stand before the Lord at the Judgment Day. We must be willing to follow the commandments of our Lord and Savior, and to do His will in our lives if we are to enter into eternal life. In the book of Acts there are a number of cases that are mentioned of many being added to the Lord, and we need to be sure that we are not added to some church that man has put together, but that we added to the Lord.

Text was from John 11:55 through 14:4.

Some highlights: Chapter 11: [55] And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves. [The Jews had been admonished to remind their children to remember what God had done in having the death angel to pass over the Jews when death was rained out on every house of the Egyptians. Now we eat the bread and drink the wine in memory of our Savior sacrificing His flesh and blood on the cross for all of mankind who come to Him in the right way.]

Chapter 12: [3] Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. [4] Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him, [5] Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? [6] This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. [Judas was critical of what Mary had done. Apparently he had already been stealing some of the money from the bag for his own personal use.]

[42] Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue. [Jesus said in Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Let’s confess Him while we have the opportunity.]

[47] And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. [48] He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. [If we say, “All I have to do is believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He will forgive all my sins, I can go on and do anything I want to do and be saved.” But His Word says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)]

Chapter 13: [8] Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. [If we do not let Jesus cleanse us Spiritually from all our sins, we will have no part with Him.]

[14] If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. [We ought to be willing to do anything that is necessary to be done that others might be saved.]

[20] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. [He that receiveth whomsoever is a messenger of His, and receive the message as a Word from Him, you are receiving Jesus Christ.]

[34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. [35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. [If we have that proper love, others will be able to see it to know these things.]

Chapter 14: [1] Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [He is going to prepare a place for us if we confess our sins and believe on Him, that we may be with Him. But if we know it and will accept it and do His will upon this earth, that is up to us. But if we do not accept it, we will never go into that place with many mansions and we will be lost, eternally lost. But I don’t believe that bothered Paul at all. If you are troubled with this, take it to the Lord and let Him be the one that will show you and clean you up and give you the mansion that He has gone to prepare for all the righteous. But remember this, He said there is nothing that is defiled that will enter the kingdom of heaven (Rev 21:27). So we have got to be cleansed, made whole, through the Spirit of Jesus Christ our Lord.]

    Hello everyone,

Tomorrow at my local market our local senator will be there to talk to people. I want to voice my opinion to her on several issues she is not support of. She does not support Israel, she does not support getting rid of abortion, and she supports same sex marriage. Basically she does not support Christianity.

Any words of wisdom when talking to a politician about christian matters in this world?

    Thanks,

    Hunter1978,
I'm glad that you enjoy Bro. Mike's preaching. I believe that we must agree with the words of Jesus Christ, not the words of a denomination. Jesus said in John 14:[15] If ye love me, keep my commandments. [23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. [24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
Peter said that we must have a mind to be obedient if we are to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 5:[32] And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Best wishes as we seek earnestly to know and DO the will of God,
    Bob Prince

Mr Prince I attend a southern Baptist Church and by this posting of what you said Bro Mike said in the early part o f your service I see my beliefs aren't any different than yours.
However I do see there is a lot of people that may just confess with there mouth but may not truly believe and think that is it. Our preacher has said if you want to be condemned by the world accept The Lord as your savior and by the worlds standards you are nothing.
I also believe that when the bible speaks in Romans 10 versus 8 & 10

    But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

    9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    10

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I believe any one can confess with there mouth but the word BELEIVE is key and such a powerful word if you truly BELEIVE you will also be committed to your savior you will also fully trust him for guidance in all you do you will also feel a conviction when you make a mistake and will not feel peace till you have begged him for forgiveness doing what is right will not be a burden to you but a desire no matter what someone else thinks.
I don't like to think of myself as having my name as a member to a certain denomination or having religion I just want to strive for a perfect relationship with my savior.
Thanks for your postings I really enjoy reading about Sunday church services

In the early part of the service, Bro. Mike told us that our Savior can give us assurance that we can enter into eternal life if we come to Him, admitting that we are nothing without Him, that we are weak, poor beggars. And we must rely upon Him. We must become submissive to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and accept Him as our Savior and ask for forgiveness and repent of our sins; this is the only way we can get off of this earth in a saved condition. He tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and all of these natural things that we need to sustain natural life will be given to us. Jesus came to this earth for the sins of the whole world. We have that great opportunity today to do something about our eternal salvation. Let’s let Him direct us in everything we do. Ask yourself the question, “ Have I let the Lord direct my ways? Have other people been able to see that Spirit in me? Have I set forth the right example before others? Have I allowed the Lord to dress me? If He had been in your home this week, would you have dressed in the same manner? If I knew the Lord was coming today, would I be doing the things I’m doing now? He said for us to watch; for the Lord is coming as a thief in the night. So let’s be watching today. Satan is out to destroy your eternal life!

    Text was from Psalm 27 and I Peter chapters 2 & 3.

Some Highlights: Psalm 27: [1] The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? [As a young shepherd boy, David was putting his trust in God. He could not understand why the army of Israel could stand by while Goliath was making mockery of the armies of God. David did not want to put his trust in the armor that Saul wanted him to wear. He put his trust in God the Father that he would give David the victory over the giant.]

[3] Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. [When Satan rises up and puts terrible thoughts in our minds, what do we fear. God has promised to give us, not a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7).]

[8] When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. [That is what the Lord is asking of each one of us, to seek His face, to seek His spirit, to let it direct our works.]

1Peter 2; [19] For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. [20] For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. [21] For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. [Think about the terrible suffering that our Savior went through, taking it patiently. He did it for us.]
[24] Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. [If we are going to live after righteousness, we have got to lay aside the things of this world and let that Holy Spirit direct the places we go, the things we say, the things we do, and how we dress, whatever it might be – by the power of God we are sealed from that sinful flesh. And if we wait upon Him, that Spirit will direct us in all things.]

Chap. 3:[10] For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile. [Let the Spirit of the Lord tame that unruly member, our tongue.]

[21] The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. [And how can we have a good conscience before God but by having the Spirit that He has to give to us, letting that Spirit direct us in all that we do – and go and sin no more.]

I would also like to add and encourage that no one should just take someone else's word or advice including mine without backing it up or searching the scriptures. If a man is truly hungering and thirsting for spiritual peace and has truly repented to our Lord he will be filled and get the guidance he needs from our lord if this is done what a specific denomination teaches or preaches is irrelevant if you have accepted The Lord as your savior and have truly repented and go to him in prayer for guidance he will give you the guidance and discernment you need.
With life in general as the saying goes there is more than one way to skin a cat. Our eternal life is different there is only way to everlasting life in heaven that is thru Jesus Christ our Savior because he is the one who shed his blood on the cross and made that ultimate sacrifice for me and you to have the opportunity to accept him as our lord and savior and have everlasting life.

As a member of the Shiloh Truelight Church of Jesus Christ, I believe that the majority of the many denominations which claim to follow Christ as Savior have ignored the last words which Jesus spoke before He ascended back to His Father. He said in Matt.28:[20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
He also said in John 14:[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. [24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
Peter said in Acts 5:[32] And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
When preachers teach the doctrine that if you have ever trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior, there is nothing you can do that will cause you to lose your salvation, I believe that is taking the words of the Bible and turning them into a lie.
Paul said in Gal. 5:[19] Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
    Reading Heb. 5:[8] Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; [9] And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Unless we have a mind to obey our Savior and Lord. we cannot receive the Holy Spirit, and it is only with that Spirit working in and through us that we are able to keep the words of Jesus in John 14:[15] If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Thank You Lord JESUS CHRIST,my lord and savior for your powerful finger and your loving Grace to guide me to this webpage!! GOD, You are AWESOME!
Greetings my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ from Helena,MT
My name is Robert Hanson and I am 56 years old in human years, but 93 days old since I laid my body at the feet of JESUS and surrendered my life and will to him.
For the first time in my existence, GOD spoke to me and revealed to me that my 50 year old( in human years)(25+ in gods book) wife, and our 9 year boy, were to make an Exodus to Spokane WA.
We belong to Morningstar International Ministry- Pastor Tom Banks; and Set Free Ministry-Pastor Murph Powers. Both congregations are in accord with God's word to me and have witnessed Gods power of seeing a miriacle happen thru me where they all got up and hugged, cried, spoke in tongue, and then anointed me in Oil with the spirit...It all happened so fast, and I am so new to this way of living.
Suffice to say, I felt a feeling inside my soul so incredible all I could do was WEEP tears of Joy for what seemed to last hours!
I am Physically disabled, My wife is attending College and our 9 year old is in elementary school. We live on my $432 a month SSDI I dont know where we are going to live or what God wants us in Spokane for? But He continues to tell me ...YOU and your family are NEEDED there! I have gave myself to him 100% and deep inside the core of my soul he is whispering...IT IS DONE! I belive---------------------
