How come we can't get help when we lose our jobs. I need medical insurance. I am not talking about spending half of my funds for cobra. I applied for charity care; however, the lab work is super expensive in New Jersey. Please respond to my message. What can I do. I am in need of some answers. Please President Obama. What can we do?? I don't trust that other guy either Romney or rob me.

I went to the neighborhood clinic and had my blood work done. Well, I got the bill almost a thousand dollars. I dont have a job or medical insurance. My unemployment is almost finish. I have been looking for a job, but the transportation that I have is a piece of junk; however I am still thankful for it. But, it is costing to much to repair, I am afraid that if I get a job I will be stuck on the side of the road and lose my job. Well, I had blood work done and I have HIGH CHOLESTEROL. The doctor told me to start excercising and stop eating cheeze, pizza, starchy foods, basically he correctly and find a great diet and he gave me prescription vitamin D tablet that I am suppose to take 1 x a week. and cholesterol pills that I am suppose to try and take 2 x a day. I know I need to lose weight, I went into a depression after I lost my job that I love for no reason. The company wrote a letter and said I did nothing, they just did not need me. But I needed them. I am just venting my feelings.

Hi Everyone. I am a grandmother raising my grandson who was diagnosed at 9 with type 1 insulin dependent diabetes. it has been hard for me and I feel that I gave up my life to take care of this boy. His mother is my daughter. She running around like she has no children. I am divorced and alone. I am 57 years old and I have been in and out of hospital with this boy since he was 9 for DKA. He has never had a seizure or coma. I have an endocrinologist that will not put him on the pump. I am tired! My grandson is now 17 years old now and will soon turn 18 years old. He was diagnosed 1st stage retinopathy, due to poor controlled diabetes management and care. this grandson has jeopardized everything I try to do for him. I wanted him to go away, but that was squash, due to Fat Ass Gov Christy, who cut fundings. I NEED A HELP. THE DONATED CAR IS IN BAD SHAPE. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE PEOPLE WHO GAVE ME THIS PIECE OF JUNK. I AM NOT WORKING LOST MY JOB. I DONT EVEN HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE FOR MYSELF. WHAT TO DO?????

i was diagnose with type 2 diabetes this past january plus high cholesterol and blood pressure. at first my sugar was 886 but after being in the hospital almost 3 days they got it back down below 300 and let me home. i was on insulin shots for two and a half weeks and then my sugar was below 150. the doctor told me below150 was good for me. Cinnamon pills that you get at walmart will also help lower your high sugar along with metformin but once your sugar gets below what your doctor has you at then lay off the cinnamon pills as much. also i know for me that chewing trident cinnamon gum and tic tac cinnamon worked to bring down sugar. Cinnamon is like a natural metformin. i have been able to keep my sugar down by working and walking plus watch what i eat.

Diabetes means learning a new life healthy lifestyle for the WHOLE family. I have a daughter with Type 1 diabetes. She was diagnosed at 10 years old, she is 12 now. Its been quite an adjustment for all of us, me learning how to better control her glucose levels, how to adjust insulin doses....just "how to" everything. If anyone has suggestions on how....we are open to it.

    Hi everybody,
This is a long story, yes but I miss my dad very much so for everybody out there
    please Take CARE of yourselves!!!
My dad was a juvenile diabetic at the age of 18. He was married to my mother then
and she always took excellent care of him- making sure he ate on time, taking his shots, getting rest, etc. He was an electrician in the coal mines for
years which included changing shifts sometimes leading him to have insulin
reactions because of schedule. I remember him waking up sometimes while having them.
Anyway, one bad habit he had was smoking. We knew it was bad for him but after
a few heart attacks, his doctor told us the nicotine in the system makes the sugar thicken the blood leading to blockages. He stopped smoking. He had a sore on his foot and instead of going to his diabetic doctor, went to the regular quack doctor who told him it was
a spider bite. Well, one thing lead to another- both of his legs amuptated because of
poor circulation and he died in '07. I was and still am my Daddy's girl. We miss him terribly.
