Tiffany, there are a few things you can do. If your fiance was married to the mother of the child, there must be a divorce decree on file with the courts. In it, it will specify the agreement for visitations, ask him. If not married, then you need to check with your husband on the agreement of when he is able to see his son. If no agreement of any kind exists with courts or between the two of them when they separated then he can file for visitations with the courts. If there was a problem of alcohol or drug abuse with your husband when he separated from her, that will be an obstacle to deal with but if he did neither, there will be no problem.

I was wondering if there was anyone who could help me. I am trying to help my Fiance get visitation of his 9 year old son. He has only ever seen his son 2 months out of his life because of the mother of his son. We are paying our child support and I don't want my fiance to be a "check" dad. The only problem is I don't know where to start. Please help!!!
