Hello All.... I am currently residing in Louisville KY area where i am paying $700 for a 900sqft apt. I have recently joined a new job in Mountain View CA and i was wondering which would be the cheapest place (in and around MV) to find an apt which would have at least a 950sqft within $1000 range. Please email answers to vishmahim@gmail.com.Thank you much ..in advance!

Hello, I am new to message boards, and this is my first!! I currently live in a village in England UK called Broadbridge Heath and we are moving to the Denver or surrounding areas this July! My husband currently works in Denver. We are bringing our 9 year old son with us.
We had a short holiday in a Denver, staying in the Westminster area last July, and we loved it (what we managed to cram into it!) but I must admit, the change is going to be quite a challenge!! Driving on the other side of the road to start! And U Turns!!
We are used to just walking out our front door and have access to local shops/pubs/school/friends, with my son safely playing out in good weather.
I wonder if anyone could help me with questions that I have to ask.........
Firstly, schools, we would like our son to attend a friendly school, his class size at present is 30 students. He has lots of friends here and is quite social/sporty. He plays football/soccer, cricket and swims, so I need him to feel at home and in a routine fairly quickly. Not sure wether to go private or public, I have had a look on great schools. And the choice of school will depend where we live greatly.
I quite liked the Broomfield area, but a school I liked the look of was in south bolder called Friendly school. Do most people with children commute their kids to school or live fairly local to schools so the kids can socialise outside school?
We would like our son to join a very good football/soccer team, he is at a good level of football. Also possibly join a swimming club to compete, any ideas?
Sorry I have a lot of questions!!
Also, I feel we need to rent in a fairly modern house, as that is what we are used to, any suggestions please?
We are also thinking of bringing our dog with us, he is an 11year old German Short Haired Pointer, even though I have looked into bringing him over, I would like to know if I can get dog insurance for an old dog that has a dodgy eye, and lots of fat lumps!? Do I also have to register him with the local authority?
I work with older people that have Alzheimer's and dementia and wondered if there was any work/ volunteer opportunities in Denver. I'm also into felting which is a craft, and would love to know of any craft clubs in Denver.
Last question, I promise.... Are there any other British people in Denver?
    Thanks for reading

Hi, I am retired black female looking to relocate to Maryland Suburbs preferably Baltimore County West or Northwest. I've done the City thing and just need a change, tired of the hustle and bustle in N.Y.C. I've done research on possible rents in those area's for a two bedrm apt/townhouse but what I would like feedback on is the area itself. Is it safe/quiet/nice/friendly/transportation. I do drive but don't have a car at the moment. Would appreciate any info, Thanks.
