    Kat,

Would it be anyone who is witnessing to the true nature of God?

    trettep -

who do you suppose are the two sets of people? and does that have anything to do with the passage:
John 10:16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

Yes Meerkat, the Two Witness are the Spiritual equivalent of the Two Tables of Stones that our former Law (Ten Commandments) were presented on. That which is physical/natural preceded that which is Spiritual. Remember this verse:

2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

See that "fleshy tables of the heart" - that is what the two witness are. Which is not a reference to TWO specific people but rather to two sets of people that are exhibiting the True nature of God.

    Bright Hope..

I like the topic trettep brought up but I am more of a quiet listener with the topic. I find it very fascinating, but just don't have a lot to contribute at this point. I have ways in which I lean... but that's it. Just leaning.

Oh no.. it is interesting and I enjoy talking about it... I was just wondering how much eschatology we should get into, that's all...

I believe in spiritual fulfillment as in each his own time and all too...

I'd better go to bed... hubby is watching the shroud on the history channel...

If anyone has any topics they want to bring to "table" feel free - I think Paul wanted to start the ball rolling and is happy if the topic isn't pursued if there is no interest.

You are right it is eschatology but I feel that CU can not really be separate from eschatology - CU is where Gods plan spans ages - and I believe that problems happen when one part of the plan is detached from the other - I believe that is where ET and futurism comes from -- that is why I am leaning toward all physical prophecy been fulfilled in 70AD (but I still feel there is spiritual fulfillment that is happening now.)
