I wish I was brave enough to load my own. Just can't bring myself to do it. If I knew someone who did it, locally that I could sit down with and watch, and then read about it, I could do it. But reading it and then trying it, scares me.

golden sabers 230's would be my choice, but I do not have a ccw or own a pistol anymore, that was my hd round of choice.

IMO, that is the best way to do it. You won't be making dangerous mistakes that way. The experienced person you watched told you all the "don't do this or that and do this and that" already! Also, never even think about reloading unless you read a manual on how to do it, have a experienced person show you or take a class. You can and will blow your firearm to pieces!

BTW, the Lyman #49 and Hornady #7 are the best books out there. They cover everything from start to finish and have awesome loads in them! If you read these and remember half of what they told ya, you will be a reloading!

The Speer #14 is another good one. Where do you buy these books? Where else, Midway USA! Reloading - Shop Reloading Tools & Supplies at MidwayUSA

Amen. 25 years ago I was loading some 44 mags with cast wadcutters. For whatever reason I loaded a few hundred with a charge for jacketed rounds and hot even then. Really damn hot loads, if it was not in a Blackhawk it would have likely ripped a gun apart. Spent a hour with a bullet puller dumping them out that night.
