While stocking up on ammo for whatever reason is fine and dandy, I'll also be keeping a well-tuned crossbow around to mitigate the loss of potential ammo stores.

Just got back from our Camp up in Stratford NH. Went alone because the rest of my family thought it was too hot. Was ALOT nicer up there I tell ya than here in SW CT. Anyway while I was there I took a ride over to Errol & LL Cotes place. I imagine you might know of it. Picked up 2000 primers, a couple pounds of various powder & 1000 cast bullets, 500 each 357 & 44. So I got ammo fixins and I always come home with beer. I cant eat as much as I used to & I cant drink like I used to either, so I usually have both leftovers & beer in the fridge.
Gee, where was the invite? And yeah that's a pretty good store in the heart of game country. I wish it was there when my brother was alive and we used to go to Androscoggin and the Umbay gog. Once I took my bride for a day ride up and around there and on the road that day we saw 16 moose 2 black bear, 4 red fox, 1 gray fox, and 4 raccoons, not counting birds. I sometimes get invites to go hunting in and around Pittsburg, but several guys I knew having camps there are now hunting on the other side .........

What is it about the zombie flicks that the survivors always seem rather patheticly armed? I mean...if it was the last humans on earth you would figger they would have been able to.....liberate....some good military grade stuff. M60s M2s M48s and crates of M16 s and M4s along with pallets of ammo.....the good stuff to, Raufus M855,flechette for 12 ya. And that's just small arms goodies. Then it seems a few LAWs mini guns, Vulcans25 mm chain guns etc etc would be laying about for the taking. That's more like zombie medicine to me......
How much has to rot to be considered a zombie? I think I am aware of many with very little if any rot. Many come "From Away" on Fridays and leave the next Sunday.

If they're walkers, then full-auto would be a waste of time and ammo.
Runners, it would be good to aim a full-auto at head-level if they were coming after you real fast.

Yea....I think in terms of my own situation which puts me less than an hour from 3 major military installations chock full of goodies and toys. Verily...Hollywood limes to keep us biting our nails and going house to house with a pump 12 IS a tad more dosed with adrenaline than lighting up the area with a chain gun stoked with API or HE or tripping a.break of 6 culminating with a Claymore.....that's just not civilized....FUN ..yes, but not civilized ..lmao....
