You are all right, it made no difference that they were two black youths. It was just weeks after the Watts riot thou. I am not a racist, I have friends of all colors and creeds. Myself I am Cherokee.

Dang, y'all are startin' t'make me feel old. My hand gun of choice is a single action .41 Mag, Ruger single six, 6.5 in barrel, there is a shooting range in Greensboro, N.C., "Calibers" by name, I used to go there six days a week and shoot at least one box of my reloads per day. I could put a 12 shot group inside a tennis ball at 25 yards. At 15 yards I could keep them inside a 50 cent piece. Nowadays, I live out in the country and have my own range in the back yard. With my rifle, I am a much better shot.

I would recommend whatever kind you get. Be sure that there is a thinking brain on the other end.

I firmly believe in the stopping power of large caliber handguns, but realistically, many will simply choose not to carry, or become tired of carrying large or heavy guns. And a large caliber handgun will usually fall in the "heavy" category, even with high quality smaller guns like the Kimber ultra carry .45 or various small revolvers in .357.

For this reason, I choose to carry a Kel-Tec .380, however I think I may be acquiring a Ruger LCP soon. These are very small and lightweight guns that you can simply slip into your jeans pocket or pocket of your shots, without really be conscious that they are there, and without imprinting. Their stopping power is pretty good, but of course not as good as a larger caliber weapon. But it's always with me, and my larger caliber handguns are just too uncomfortable and bulky for me to carry comfortably. And I'm a big guy at 6'3" and 230 pounds. Even the Kimber ultra carry, which I dearly love but won't carry unless it's winter time and I'm wearing a fairly heavy jacket anyway. Just my 2 cents, I'm sure I'll get flamed for this.
This. +1

I don't see how 'black' had to be entered. Seems pretty racist to me.
if the robbers were white and the poster called them black instead, THAT would be racist.

Why did you feel the need to point that out?
Why do you feel the need to question this poster?

Do you suspect that the robbers were actually white or latino, and that the poster lied about their race for his own evil ends?

Or

Do you expect the poster to sugar coat the truth of what ever happened in the name of political correctness?
