Well, my current count is up to 72 of 'em....they tend to grow on ya.....lol!

Awesome - not lsure whether to envy or hate ya.......

It's funny, though - I've never been interested in the 9's personally. They just don't "do anything" for me. They're increasingly difficult to find - guess that's part of what makes them fun to collect. GB usually has quite a few offered up by folks that think they're gold plated........

Nice collection.

1911's are one of my favorites; I have owned several different ones of the years of various manufacture names.

Thanks. Something about the Randall just caught my imagination - but, there are plenty of others in the safes. In California, I'd be the guy on the news with the "Massive stockpile of guns" - in Texas, I'm just an "avid collector".

In some peoples eyes, if you have two guns you have a arsenal; and to others you could own a gun store and still have a small collection of guns. And in either case if you are not breaking the law, then the only person who's business it is; is your spouse and your self, and no one else's business.

Too true. We have several FB pages for local gun enthusiasts, and every time one of those "arsenal" stories pop up (usually from the east or west coast states), we have fun about the way they carry on. Generally speaking, most local folks have 100k rounds of ammo, mostly because of the variety of firearms they own.

Except that actually Colt isn't that great. Don't get me wrong I like Colts. I have a Gold Cup and a Wiley Clapp (OK and a couple more...) but for production guns Dan Wesson can't be beat. Springfield is as good, Kimber's IMHO are over hyped and overpriced and I'm not buying a 1911 with a plastic mainspring housing, but they are pretty.

You can't beat a Wilson or Ed Brown for fit and finish and accuracy. Unless you buy a Dan Wesson for $2,000 less. I was ringing the 100 yard gong all afternoon today.

I don't know anything about Randalls.

I have a Randall A311. It's in the box, which is also in the original box (2 boxes). It's never been fired. Any others out there never been fired?
