Thanks JDavid, I had 3 stray shots out of 14 I fired, I felt those 3 shots just as I lost center before I squeezed the trigger. Overall, I was pretty happy with the group.
I took my Savage 110 target rifle in the 25-06 Remington yesterday also, but the groups weren't as tight, they were about 1.5" in average. The rifle is fairly new, I only fired about 200 rounds through it so far, so it's not quite broken in yet. Once it's broken in, the groups should average about 1/2" at 100 yards.
Hey Mike, nice shooting, what scope are you using? That looks like a nice shooting range.
It's a Burris Fullfield target scope, 4-20 power, with a range finder. I bought the rifle and the scope new in October of 1994, and so far I put close to 500 rounds through it. I know I had it for 13 and a half years, and only put 500 rounds through it, which is low, I have several other rifles in other calibers, from 223 Remington, to 300 Winchester magnum, that I enjoy shooting also.
The shooting range is The Ben Avery Shooting Facility north of Phoenix, it's operated by the Arizona Game & Fish Department. This is the main range, they got others within the same facility, trap and skeet, 550 yard steel silhouete range, and a 1000-yard competition range.

I have been a long-time gun enthusiast and big game hunter. Throughout the years I have owned a number of rifles and shotguns made by John Rigby & Co. of London. I don't shoot that much any more, and I have sold most of my guns. I now only have a .275 Rigby (7x57mm Mauser) "Best Quality" Magazine Rifle with a Schmidt & Bender 4x36 Scope on Rigby "Quick Detachable" Mounts; and a Rigby 12 Bore Shotgun.

Wendell, about your .275 Rigby rifle, you mentioned also the 7x57mm Mauser caliber, was that the caliber it had before?
I had a Spanish Mauser in the 7x57 caliber 22 years ago, but the barrel was pitted too much. The best group I was able to get was 3" at 100 yards, and that was with a scope.
I ended up giving it to a gunsmith in early 1986, and I got a used Remington model 722 in the 6mm Remington caliber, which is really the 7x57mm case, necked down to 6mm/24 caliber. The rifle served me very well on many hunting trips, but the barrel started showing signs of excessive wear at the throat, so I sold it to the same gunsmith in 1993 and I ended up getting a new Remington 700 BDL in the 6mm Remington caliber, with a synthetic stock, and I love that rifle!
