Over the last few years I have been checking out the Saiga semi auto shotguns in the gun shops and gun shows. My favorite version I cannot own! It's a SBS (short barrel shotgun). We may own Class III AOWs, but no shoulder stocks on those short barrel shotguns. I would be happy with just a standard length Saiga and a drum. I think this would be a cool thread to talk about them. Who's got one? Who's shot one before? I never have but they sure look cool. You left out the part where they're very often finicky with ammo and fail to extract/jam.

Get a Benelli M4 Super 90 if you want a semi-auto shotgun so bad. Or, if you want the badass factor, you could test your luck and gamble on a Kel-Tec KSG.

I'm looking for something even more unique than my Benelli M3. That's hard to do. I also think that the Saiga at some point in time will be reclassified as a destructive device which adds to the cool factor.

It also looks like 922R applies on these. You'll need to get your USA parts count up with as many as you can. On a AK you need at least six. I'll have to look up what the Saiga needs. They sure make a bunch of tacticool stuff for them. http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/saiga-12-c-366.html
