I'm looking into one of those nifty looking ScottWerx conversions of your basic 10/22 into a Thompson MG look-alike.

This would look great with a shorter 16.5"bbl and a full Cutts type compensator (a slotted muzzle brake...)

It's the one on the lower left... the Ruger conversion should be available as a screw-on cosmetic alteration accessory! (BTW, don't these original Thompsons look downright TOUGH? Imagine someone swinging one of
these in your general lawless direction?)
And.. this look-alike "version" is a LOT LESS EXPENSIVE to shoot than a .45ACP unit!
