Just happened to drop in on my local(only) gun shop yesterday
and was introduced to both above.

Anyone have an opinion re: these? Or have either.

??Now me thinks I need one of these and have been thinking
of a Springfield for some time. Now looking more towards the
Ruger as I like the feel of the grips and the balance even unloaded.
This weapon does have some weight to it but I can handle that
and have before.

The Rugers have been hard to find, they're great for the dollar.

How much are they asking?

According to Cheaper Than Dirt $699.00
Remington 1911 R1 Sneak Peek | The Shooter's Log
The add says first in 91 years.

I wonder where these are made and what they are made of? Like mim parts and etc?

And OR if these are made on any of the old colt machinery????????? I have a late WW-2 vintage Remington Rand.. So I am sort of curious how the modern will compare to the real thing.

The add also says this, From the information we have gathered, it appears that the pistol is being manufactured at Remington’s facility in Ilion New York., but is it true or just hype? who knows.....

In own Rugers but I always thought they should stick to single action wheel guns and or rifles.

I'ld like to see one of these Remingtons in my hand.......
