A little over a year ago , I traded a case of .223 ammo to a guy for a Springfield Armory Micro Compact 1911 . I thought it was a helluva deal . I didn't care much for the gun though . Not very accurate and had a lot of recoil . Last night , a guy offered me a LNIB Glock G26 for it . This thing is pristine . Yes , I jumped all over that deal . I gave the guy a box of .45 ammo cuz I felt so guilty .
I've had a couple of the Springfield compacts....they have quite a following. I prefer my STI, Kimber or Sigs, though. Last one I had I got $800 for, so I ain't gonna complain.
I have a G26. I modified it with Hiviz sights rear and front. It makes all the difference. I love my 19 and 26 but the sights on a glock are not that great. Its very accurate for its size.
Get yourself a Glock 19 barrel and put in in your Glock 26. It works perfectly. You have most of the concealment factor but with a significant upgrade in ballistics. I used to carry a G26 with a G19 barrel in a fanny pack for distance running, before I moved to the suburbs where it was no longer necessary.
It's a compact pistol intended for conceal carry . Small grips come with the territory .
