Hungry folks learn the error of their ways - especially when hiding behind triple-locked doors because of the lawless that take over.

I got this off of facebook page, it is firearm companies that are refusing to sell after this last law in New York was passed. I have heard about magpul in Colorado leaving for Wyoming but nothing official from them yet.

LaRue Tactical
Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

Olympica Arms
Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity - will no longer be served as customers.
In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York - henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.

Extreme Firepower Inc, LLC
The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms. Law-enforcement agencies are typically exempt from these restrictions. EFI, LLC does not recognize law-enforcement exemptions to local, state, and federal gun control laws. If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction.
Templar Custom
We will not sell arms to agents of the state of New York that hold themselves to be "more equal" than their citizens.
As long as the legislators of New York think they have the power to limit the rights of their citizens, in defiance of the Constitution, we at Templar will not sell them firearms to enforce their edicts.
Templar Custom is announcing that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee will no longer be served as customers.

Yorks Arms
Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies.

You can add Smith Enterprise Inc to the list of firearms companies that wont sell to New York.

Just got this off their website.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
NYS State Capitol Building
Albany, NY 12224

Ron Smith
Smith Enterprise, Inc.
1701 West 10th Street, Suite 14
Tempe, Arizona 85281

Dear Governor Cuomo,

Over the last several decades, Smith Enterprise has sold various firearm related products to state agencies and police departments in New York. However, due to the changing political climate and anti-gun politices coming from your state, we are forced to make some changes in how we do business with your government agencies.

It is improper for us to sell items to state agencies and law enforcement that law-abiding citizens are not allowed to purchase. Effective immediatly Smith Enterprise will no longer sell items to your state government that you have outlawed your citizens to buy.

Until your state changes your gun control laws and ensures these laws are back in line with the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution, Smith Enterprise will be forced to keep this policy.

At a time when crime is rampant and people are becoming more and more desperate due to the struggling economy, it is imperative that state and local governments support the people’s right to defend themselves from would-be attackers. The police have nothing to fear from law-abiding citizens with guns.

When you change your gun laws back to something more along the lines of what our country was founded on, please let me know and we will reopen our sales in your state to government agencies.

Sincerely,
Ron Smith
President
Smith Enterprise, Inc.

NY can simply buy their firearms through federal contracts if every single firearms manufacturer or distributor refused to sell to NY.

Boycotts like this don't work. They don't even get much media attention. There aren't enough jobs and revenue affected to make a difference. I know if makes some feel good but just look at what the result will be, according to the laws of unintended consequences:

Other states that see this could adopt similar laws and regulations. Then the scenario repeats. More and more companies that deal in firearms and related equipment are forced into smaller and smaller geographical areas. Eventually, you end up with dog eat dog business. That is good for the desired effect?

Is anyone thinking this through?

Lets say this is a raving success. Eventually almost all the firearms manufacturers end up in a few states. Guess what happens then? Instead of many states needing to pass laws restricting firearms ownership, now you need only a few.

Bugging out is called quitting. It might sound big to proclaim a boycott of sorts but this topic doesn't resonate like others do except in those that feel so strongly about it that they are willing to stand up and be heard.

Well, just how do you influence and maintain that influence if you bug out? Does anyone think the Governor of NY gives a darn about gun companies not selling in NY? That is his goal. All this does is help him.

The NY Police? Come on, they will always be able to get firearms and equipment regardless of who says they won't sell to them.

If it doesn't accomplish to objectives and goals, just how does it help?
