I would also like to add that slugs are VERY unpredictable...or maybe more accurately...VEHICLES are. We put one through a BMW (mid 90's 318i or 325i or similar, I believe) at a 90* angle to the driver's door, near the center of the door. It exited through the passenger side door. The REAR passenger side door. I have no CLUE how it happened. Federal 1oz Truball from an 870 at about 15'.
